The big question is, will the Halo 3 demo be the first demo that Microsoft will charge for?

Why would i pay for a demo, so i can play one level if that then get told to purchase the game. That would be the most rediculous thing that M$ can do, charge people for a demo then charge them $60 when the game comes out. NOW, if they say something like pay for the demo and get a few free maps after the game comes out, then thats a whole different story.

I'd pay up to $5 for it, only if it had both multiplayer and single player modes. Also would be nice that when you beat the single player part on legendary it would give you an exclusive picture pack or theme or something along those lines. Maybe the legendary skull and swords or whatever.

Nope! Why should we pay for a demo only for it to last one level? Fair enough you may argue that you would have to pay for it if you brought a mag with cover disc but even so it would not be $7 just for the Halo 3 demo, other stuff would be on the disc and you get a mag to read too. Wink

And I was not that impressed with halo 2 and am still to complete it. Razz (which i doubt will ever happen)

If they were going to I don't think they would've done the beta registrations. Plus giving the demo free allow more users to see what it's like and raise the chances of purchases. By selling the demo they will be loosing potential customers and there for their biggest worry... Money.
