The correct way to mod a wireless controller with LEDS
This circuit is not soldered into the controller at any point, do not solder to the controller board or the play and charge pins as it is not necessary and may cause future problems with the controller.
There's lots of tutorials for LED mods, but none like this one. Using the AA battery pack the LEDS are illuminated, with the play and charge they are not. This is because the circuit draws power from the battery coils at the base of the back of the controller.
The wires are sandwhiched into the coils, not soldered, so the circuit can be removed or replaced easily. Controller functions normally with or without LEDS based on which pack is used. Wire here for a 3V power source.
