I'm liking my modded 360 a bunch so far. Now I can actually decide what size internal hard drive I wanna use. Went to gamestop and figured I'd throw down $20 for a 20GB drive since I'd be replacing it anyways.
My RGH tutor simply formatted my seagate backup plus portable USB 3.0 drive using 3rd party formatting app to fat-32. That usb 3.0 external drive wasn't being recognized by my console, so I used a butterknife to open up the casing and get at that 1TB SATA drive.
Then I opened up the gamestop 20GB drive and replaced the 20GB drive with my 1TB drive. The modded xbox stock dash update my guy gave me recognized the SATA drive plugged in the internal port and all I had to do was format so the 360 was happy. Then I installed Freestyle dash 3 and backed up all my 360 disks to it. No more listening to that dvd clucking along.
Also liking the freestyle dash fans options. Now I can set my fans to roar at 100% and prevent RROD via overheating as long as possible
As far as xbox live goes. I have not tested my console on it. Xbox Live is not free, I refuse to pay Bill Gates any money for it. Unless there is a way to get on Xlive for free, I ain't even gonna bother testing their RGH console detection right now.

I was being a little crabby yesterday as I was having trouble getting my game paths on FSD 3 to work.
I read about the xbox live code generator sites all the time. Do they actually work for free xbox live? If any of them work, or if there are weekends where M$ offers free xbox live, I could try out my RGH console on live and see if M$ bans it immediately.
If true, suggestions anyone?...
I would guess that after going on the live with my RGH console and playing with others, it would get banned within a few hours.
