40C is for faggots LMAO. My original XBOX goes as high as 68C no issue. So if 40c is a bad ass magic number on this console they FAILED.
As for the 10% boost, I bet my pay cheque all it is is an AMD software upgrade to utilize TURBO BOOST. 10% is the avg increase for a PC to get from TURBO BOOST. The CPU is most likely with this latest bang gonna be equiv to a Piledriver FX 125w TDP CPU which with stock AMD cooler can run fine. So yeah if M$ isnt a retard and try to go all in house CPU heat should not be an issue.
if?
IF what? LMFAO I dont speak super secret mystery language Ken, please elaborate

If they go In House HEAT WILL BE AN ISSUE. Thats what happened with 360. M$ canned AMD said thanks for the chipset and went on there merry way. We all know how that went LMAO
No 40C CPU or GPU temp. Thats AVG workload temp nowdays for a PC running a mildly strenious app or if you measured a 360 running say Godfather2 or LA Noire you would get 38-42C

Microsoft is a USA company and we talk in Fahrenheit my friend. It was not a typo. The point is they stress test to an extreme. Get you head out of your ass.
Edit: I'll try to find that article. I read it last week have been doing more work load and more complexity than ever in my life so maybe I am mistaken on the 40F. My short term memory has been burnt. Still regardless you can't come away from the article without being impressed by MS quality control this time around. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Wow, not getting laid or something? Because somebody states something logical you insult them? Seriously what would be the point of testing a CPU, GPU or other "computer" parts at such a low ambient temp when the chance of that ever being a real world condition is almost 0? Who keeps there house at 40F LMAO? You know and I know and anybody else who knows anything about PC parts knows 40C is a very low temp for highend parts to produce. Virtualy every quad-core, hex-core, oct-core and quality GPU exceeds this just running something simple like Angry Birds or Super Mario.

Not logical and you come off as hard hitting. There's nothing wrong and it is good to test in extremes _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
360 had serious issues with cooling. Too much heat, killed many consoles Right?
People are gonna be worried about the same thing on XBOX-One (whether its a real issue or not) Right?
Nobody ever got RROD cause their console was to cold Right?
So now to the crux. Testing the components at a very low ambient temp will accomplish 2 things
1) It will skew results as to "RROD" because its being kept cooler than it would be in a real world setting
2) It proves it can run in a situation it will most likely never see
Despite jokes to the contrary we dont live in igloos up here so who honestly will ever be running their XBOX-One in situation where the temp is just above freezing? Which is why I said I thought it was typo and stated what I thought based on my experience as a PC gamer and builder would be the logical choice. Sure they may really be testing at such temps, I just dont see the point. And considering the hardware going into this new console (from strictly a PC perspective) it is very logical that the XBOX-One will run at above 40C even just doing mundane things like running IE or watching an MP4.
People WILL want results and proof as to high temps due to history of the XBOX but how many are gonna say "Im not buying this unless they prove it will run fine at extremely low temps"
Does that make a little more sense for ya?
Even my 6850 in a nice big PC case with lots of aftermarket cooling runs at 36C with no activity. Kinda shows where my thinking is coming from, since we both know the XBOX-One is gonna be crammed like a can of sardines so will have much higher heat than a properly built PC

Sorry still can not find that big tore of the Microsoft xbox one labs.
Won't be a problem this time as I was pointing out. Their troubleshooting is state of the art, they are not missing anything. It makes no difference what the special room for running the xbox in extreme temperatures was at the the time of the tour. It was set at 40 F at the time (I may not be correct on that however), they stated they do test at any temperature including high temperatures. The tour was about many things not just that one room that had a bunch of consoles in it.
I have to find it. I'll scroll thru my history tonight. I don't know what day it was and I have hundreds of pages to look at lol
Also sorry SPPV for sort of saying your an ass, of course you're not. I know you have a strong point too. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
i found a wired one but i couldnt see any specifics about temps, they said that particular day it was like a chiller but the other extreme was being tested too.
