Skyrim just came out today, and I've already played it for about 2 hours and I've got to say it's really great! The graphics are stunning (too bad I can only play on medium settings because I only have a GTS 250 Sad) and the beginning of the game is leaps and bounds better than Oblivion's was. Being able to smith weapons in this game is also really cool and it adds a whole new dimension to the weapon system in the game.

The only problem I've found so far is that pressing tab to exit a conversation doesn't work correctly about 95% percent of the time. I have to manually click on the exit conversation button. Otherwise, I haven't found any bugs, which is great! I was hoping it wasn't going to be another Fallout New Vegas Rolling Eyes

I am playing it on 360 and so far it is amazing, and I agree with you Darth about the beginning it is definitely leaps and bounds better than Oblivion both story/gameplay and visually (it is stunning)...I got a random citizen in Riverwood after completing an extremely easy, quick side quest and that is very cool if one would need help. As well I came across a group of soldiers from the Companions standing around a giant they had just killed right outside of Whiterun. More to come as I continue to play about the game overall. Big thumbs up!

Another problem that they have not fixed since Oblivion is if you die deep inside of a dungeon, you have to start back at the start of the dungeon. I hate having to run through everything again just because I accidentally didn't drink a health potion fast enough.

Skyrim makes me feel like I felt playing Morrwind for the first time on the original xbox. It was a captivating experience that just never seemed to end in a good way. Oblivion was nice but lost something compared to Morrowind but Skyrim is just plain amazing, interesting and looks darn nice too.

Don't expect all the glitched of Oblivion, this is a whole new game engine but yeah it might have some glitched of its own. When I first loaded up the game on 360 there was already an update. So far no issues for me. I can't believe how they managed the super far views and draw distance. The lighting is great too. I think Skyrim is the crown jewel of the 360 and the best the visuals will get on the 360.

I loved the opening sequence of this game. I always wondered why there were never dragons in The Elder Scrolls games, now my dreams have come true Very Happy Exclamation

If you liked Morrowind and Oblivion then I don't see how Skyrim won't be worth it to you. In every way, it is far superior to Oblivion.

There have only been a few games that have heightened my wow factor and a feeling of euphoria. Morrowind and Halo 1 top my list of awe inspiring games. Oblivion had it but not as much. Fallout 3 did a little bit.... but Skyrim has it in spades for me. I don't want to put down the controller. I forced my self to stop playing and only played about 4 hours just because I have to maintain responsibilities lol. Laughing

Well, please tell us your thoughts on Skyrim once you get the chance to sit down with it. Cheers!

I agree completely, this is by far the best game that the 360 has to offer and is in my top 5 of favorite games of all time. The graphics are tops and the little things make the game great.
I want to tell something awesome about the game but it is kind of a spoiler so I have to hold myself back. Twisted Evil

I did not like Oblivion at all, maybe because I got it too many years after it's release.

I just got my first 30 minutes of Skyrim and I am loving it, It use the same engine of Fallout New Vegas maybe slightly better, the gameplay is like fallout so it's not complicated at all.

I think I am gonna love this game

Skyrim is not running the same engine as Fallout New Vegas. New Vegas was still on the Gamebryo engine that Fallout 3 and Oblivion used. Skyrim is on something totally new.

I've played about 27 hours already and I've got to say I just love this game. I have not gotten bored at all. I have barely touched the main story thus far. Pretty much have just been doing side quests and leveling up a few skills. This game is definitely shaping up to be 50+ hours for me Very Happy
