For the last portion of the BF3 beta multiplayer trial on PC, DICE have started testing the 64-player Caspian Border map. The Caspian Border map is not available on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 because the map is specifically designed to stress test a 64-player scenario.
The Xbox 360 and/or PlayStation 3 version of the game are rumored to get a "HD installation content" option. We have yet to see this option at the time of writing.
I can confirm the maps are up and running. But do not be surprised if you get in a game and find some bad lag. I would say 1/2 the servers have lag and the other half run great. If you get lag just leave and find a different server.
By the way, the old Battlefield Technique of loading a car up with C4, driving it next to a tank, jumping out and detonating it still works in BF3. Having a blast car bombing people (no pun intended). Also laying C4 out on the road, waiting for an enemy vehicle while hiding in the bushes is also turning out to be great fun lol. Maybe I will put up a clip later.
UPDATE...
If anyone here without access to caspian has anything they are curious about that they would like to see, as far as the caspian map goes, , let me know and I will try to get a video clip of it and post here.

Crap, went to play me some BF3 today and found it is already shut down.
I did get several decent clips and will edit some together to show some stuff on the Caspian map such as using Tanks, AA, Jets, Helicopters, car bombs, IED's, the Stinger, etc.
Some things I can mention right now, some different from past BF games are the following... (remember this is on PC with settings all the way up which may or may not affect this on your version)
1. Draw distance... In past Battlefield games, once a person or vehicle is far enough away from you, you can no longer see them, they fade into what looks like a fog, even with draw distances all the way up. In BF3 there is no fade out. You can be a sniper and see an enemy all the way at the other end of the huge map. They appear to be just a spec but you can see them. With bullet drop and round travel time, it will take quit a lot of skill to hit those super range targets.
2. There is a ceiling as far as an aircraft can fly, you can no longer fly so high that you can no longer see the ground, you can get in a jet and fly straight up without stalling, but you will actually stop moving up and it will apear to those on the ground that you are just up there standing on your tail. You think you are climing but you are a stationary easy target.
3. Trees are much harder to take down than before. It used to be you could use your tank and just drive through a forest of trees taking them down as easy as a combine in a corn field, but now, even the small trees are hard to take down, you really have to ram it hard with a running start, and that will only get you one tree. Also the trees do not seem to be affected by gunfire, not even AAguns or Heavy mounted machine guns.
Trees can only be taken down by Explosives or Heavy impact. And many of the trees are now Non-Destructable. Some of the bigger trees will not come down for all the C4 in the world.
4. The tanks still get stuck on some objects that they should not, such as small trees, watter filled trash bins on the highway, even the tall rubber cones can slow you down. I lost a tank trying to cross a creek about 4 foot deep and 10 foot across, not good.
5. The huge AA guns that you can mount like a little building, are great but seem to have a limit on range that will actually cause an impact. The aircraft have to be very close or your rounds will not register at all.
6. I noticed a glitch, you can not destroy a vehicle when a team mate is in it which is good, but if you put some C4 on one side of a Helicopter and detonated it while the aircraft is in the air, the shock wave will force the helicopter to roll over away from the blast so it ends up, upside down and does a nose dive into the ground killing the crew and counting it as a suicide. I can see this being a problem in game.
7. Spawing directly in vehicles....
Ok, this one was very annoying. Not sure if this was in previous games, but it goes soemthing like this, You make your way to where the Jets spawn because you would like a turn. You wait patiently and then it spawns..... With a player already in it! This happens over and over so you can never get a jet. It seems that when a player is dead, they can wait in the Deploy page till the jet comes up and spawn there, but it seems like they may get a second or two heads up before the jet spawns, so the jet spawns and someone is in it before you can hit E.
Thats it for now, Ill get to work on a video or two.
Here is a video of Yet another huge map and some game info
Tanks and AA
This one is not my video but thought it was worth posting here to show sniper round travel time and bullet drop, also to show the great long range draw distance, in battlefield2, the characters would fade out of view at a third of the distance.

Helicopter game play....
Sorry, lost all my jet footage, had a few helicopter clips left, edited them together so you guys could get a basic helicopter look and feel, also a birds eye view of the caspian map. The crash at the end is my favorite part.
