Hi all! I installed a new enhancement to the webserver to help the web server serve content more smoothly and quickly.
We now have a proxy web server running before the main web server. The proxy handles many more thousands of connections compared to what the main webserver can handle. The proxy web server will serve all static content and gzip it on the fly saving time, memory and bandwidth. All dynamic content like php code will be passed to the main web server.
So please let us know how things are running and if you notice any speed improvements or not!
I am also working on a ram cache web server which would serve static and dynamic content 70% faster than just the main web server alone. This will have to wait until the new servers and equipment are in place, something we are working on accomplishing right now, because we would need double the ram than we have now on this server for the RAM cache web server approach.

Our current system of backup now takes some huge processing up. I have done tons of work on it and have cut the time down from 6 - 8 hours down to 2.5 to 3.5 hrs but the load during this time is quite high. I have scripted a new backup system but this will not go into action until the new servers are live. It seems as if the main page isn't working anymore for me.
500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

All the time, works on my phone, but doesn't for me on Internet Explorer or Firefox. Worked on Internet Explorer until I logged in. _________________________________________________________

The vids load from ytube. If you go to ytube to watch them, they behave the same as far as I can tell.
but for internal purposes I'll exclude vids from being compressed.
