I got Mafia 2 on PC because I thought it sounded kind of interesting, I do not remember hearing or seeing much about the game.
I Have been playing for 2 days and I am loving it!
I am curious why this game has not got more attention.
First off, its just beautiful, 1940's New York in the winter time with snow and snowing, Great 40's music. Lots of little details that make you feel like you are really in 1940's.
many of the cut scenes are very nice and entertaining, even a little nudity which I was suprised to find. Not too far in the game but one scene has 2 gals leaving my buddies room so we can talk on one of the girls is bare assed.
You can collect playboy magazines throughout the game , each one unlocks a fold out of a playmate, not blured out ither, full nipple views.
Not sure if this is a PC exclusive thing or not.
the missions are fun and the music and look and feel just make the game a joy to play. Its so nice I dont even mind driving the speed limit and waiting at red lights in the game so I can look around.
the games missions seem pretty in line with the story and I am thinking there are no side missions, or I have just not found them yet, I hope this does not mean the game will be too short.
Well this is not a full review, still in the first half but if you have not played this game and you like the GTA style games or you like Mob movies and the such, I would highly recamend this game.
So far on my new PC I have played through crysis warhead, operation flashpoint red river, Metro 2033, Battlefield Bad Company, and Home Front, And this is the only one that I am actually really enjoying, the other games I got to where I just wanted to hurry and finish them but Mafia2 makes me hope the story line is long.
I will play it through a second time and put together some of my favorite scenes and the such in a video later on.

Hi gamexxover, with my personal experience with that game on x360 my short answer is: "It's full of bugs"
I was unable to processed with the game... it crash in one mission, If I choose not to do it, the next mission tells me to go in scrapyard and once I get there nothing happens _________________________________________________________

That sucks, it's really good, Have not run into any bugs yet on the PC, other than having to not use PHYSX as it is a Nvidia thing and my AMD card does not like it, Doing everything on PC as my xbox is dead right now. But ya, as far as Single player games go, this is great, all those other games are great for multiplayer but kind of a drag single player.
I put up a vid of one of the cut scenes.
This is after my guy does 7 years in prison, at this point of the game we are now in the 50's, my buddies take me to a cat house as a welcome back gift.

Thats surprising Im running it on a Gigabyte HD6850 with no problem and youre right it is a great game, I havent checked out the 360 version yet but the PC one rocks

There were a lot people mad at 2k games for those bugs... (at least in 360) I dont know about PC, I dont think my PC can handle those gfx. _________________________________________________________

Check out this short clip I took with fraps.
I had to dumb down the video during conversion to reduce size, also fraps adds a little stutter, The actual game looks much much clearer and smooth than the video shows. But this little mod you will not find on the Xbox 360 Version. Heck,I cant even post this on youtube.

The first part with the bare assed gal is in original PC version, Maybe console too, but the rest of the nudity is a mod file added to the game.
