Firefox 5 is suppose to be released on June 21st. You did in fact read that correctly. Mozilla is taking on a new release schedule that is similar to other browsers. Look forward to Firefox 10 by next summer most likely.
Honestly, I hate this new idea. Why make a whole new number out of some simple changes. At most it should be branded Firefox 4.1, not Firefox 5. What do you guys think about this since most of you guys use Firefox?
Agreed with you to a point. If it is a final release, with no major GUI changes then its not a new version. The .9.1.3 etc extension was getting out of hand at the same time so what is the best way to go? Gotta follow the trends in the industry to make it seem better. Here's my idea... we're at ff 4, Jan is 4.1 Feb would be 4.2 and DEC is 4.12, now there's a novel idea with consistent updates to boot

See I thought that the old number system worked great. Small updates were placed in the hundreds place. Big updates were in the tens place and major overhauls were in the ones place.
To me it makes more sense to have a release schedule like Firefox 3 did. Get up to Firefox 3.0.19 (for example) and then release a major speed update which bumped it up to Firefox 3.5. Then once Firefox 3.5 hit about Firefox 3.5.13 another major update was released which bumped it up to Firefox 3.6. Then once Firefox 3.6 hit about 3.6.16 a major overhaul of the entire browser was coming out and Firefox 4 appeared.
If I was the head of Mozilla, I'd keep that same system. It makes more sense to me than any of the other systems that create so many new numbers. So far with Firefox 4 we've had Firefox 4 and one update that fixed a few security flaws which was Firefox 4.0.1. Why do we need Firefox 5 when there has only been one update to Firefox 4 so far? _________________________________________________________

Tons of people on Facebook have been complaining about those issues. I've been running Firefox 4 on my desktop, laptop and my moms computer from day one and haven't had a single issue. I've been loving it so far. _________________________________________________________

Did you try reinstalling Firefox hobbs that might fix it. I dont have no issues as of yet with firefox 4 and really i dont care if they called it firefox 100.551 as long as they work on the buggs for people and release a great explorer thats all i care. I was looking into google chrome now seems to be a lot faster and that also. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
I don't like Google Chrome because of the interface. If the interface was customizable to the point where I could make it look like Firefox 3.6, I may switch to it. _________________________________________________________
Chrome for me choked my browsing speeds.
Now here's the problem with the minor update issues, one person finds 3.6 to be better for them for whatever reason like the GUI or tabs are fully functional and stuff, but some like the ver 4.0
What about the person that had better success with 3.6.2?
I think keeping updates with simple revisions is best, for testing and for fallback because we all know engineers make mistakes whether they like to admit to it or not
