well i have it in another post on here of a video to tell what drive you have and how to tell if its the certain version but i have to leave for work i will see if i can browse for it when im at work but might be a busy day. Should be in someone else post that has to do with the new slims to wish i had more time to find it for you right now but im heading out the door right now ha.
I searched the forum for it but was unsuccessful. If you have some time and able to find it, I would much appreciate it.

Well from doing some more research the sticker thing is not that reliable i guess from what people say but at the top of the xbox if standing up if you see a yellow sticker = 0225 Orange sticker= 9504 if no sticker means you probably got a hitachi drive. Note some 9504 drives the sticker still showed up yellow and was labeled a 0225 drive but was really a 9504 drive. So in truth you will have to take the Slim apart and hook it up to Jungleflasher to see what drive it is. Making sure you have the newest jungleflasher. UFO has a guide on here taking the xbox 360 slim apart.
SPPV: Does the disc actually spin in the console if so then you could try a pot tweak on it. For benq and lite-ons they seem to work good around 3.01-3.40 in that area. You will need a ohm meter and have it set on 20ohms. Google Xbox 360 Pot Tweak as i do not know if we have a guide on here for it. But all are similar pretty much on which one you have to tweak. If this does not work then most likely you will need a new laser which is cheap $10.00 if that. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
When I put a disc in, it will say reading you can hear it spin for maybe a second then goes back to saying open tray. Ill see if I can grab a meter off one of the electricians at work today and do a pot tweak on it
Update:
Got the sucker working thanks Scarface

I have opened the slim and see the yellow sticker with Model # DG-16D4S. Do I still need to hook it up to Jungleflasher? If so, where would I obtain that?
Thanks
*nm, found the site and reading through the tutorial. Sounds like the best way to officially identify what drive I have is to hook straight up to a pc? I see the label states 'Phillips & Lite-on Digital Solutions Corporation' FW Ver: 0225, so I think I am dead in the water!?
