if they do make a modern warfare 3, it will/ should far outdo the badassity factor of mw2. More diverse environments(chinatown, ghetto, african sahara, etc), more exciting events(buildings collapsing while youre inside, etc.) and make the ultimate badass action game, just to round off the number 3, not leave it hanging at 2, and complete the trilogy.

Honestly I didn't see a "2" don't know if a "3" is on the cards but I guess with the success of the first 2 anything is possible.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare this started it so this is number 1
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 this is the Second one
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Dont Quote me yet but this might be released in Nov-Dec of this Year i been doing some searching and seems like it is all saying this year for a new one but who knows for sure and if it will be called Modern Warfare 3 i for one hope it will be and they take out that stupid last stand crap on multiplayer, Final stand fine thats cool because u have to die 4 times in a row to get it but last stand itself is complete bs.
A cool Feature would be able to let people customize maps of there own to play with friends they can upload it to the server and give a code to friends to download and play custom maps that you have done. Kinda like build your own skate parks and that in tony hawk that was fun. More destruction of buildings means bigger maps for this to actually be done.
Another thing i would like to see not in some of the game types are Noob Tubes. In games like Search and Destroy, Headquarters, Domination, game types like this they should not allow Noob Tubes in there.
A cool thing to add would be something that a lot of people were doing back on Modern Warfare was the game Mike Myers. This i would luv to see a game mode with it picking random people to be the guy and they have big machetes and a shotgun for backup and a bloody mask on chasing people and all the people cant do nothing tell the last 3mins of the game is when they are allow to use a shotgun or knife too. Something like this i could see being fun for a lot of people.

There are pretty strong rumours that the next COD game will be treyarch's take on Vietnam. Could be interesting. I would get this game if one of the GI's yells "look out for charlie up in the tree's". lol
Historically, we will have to wait till november 2011 for the next Infinity Ward COD. This will probably finish the story line up from the second one.
But with the 2 billion dollars in sales this game has sold, I'd say IW could afford to hire a few programmers to get this puppy out the door a little earlier.
Question is though, will they release an open beta to the public and fix the problems before worldwide release?? _________________________________________________________ Mattster

Trey is set to put the next game out which will be set during the expanse of the cold war. It is said to be a compilation of cold war battles, Or what are known as PROXY WARS, where 2 nations in a cold war (US and SOVIET UNION) fight battles but using 3rd parties. Some cold war battles include Vietnam, The Korean war, Soviets in Afghanistan (fighting against the freedom fighters who later became todays Al Qaeda), East Germany terrorist style attacks on West Germany in late 60's, There was also Syria vs Lebanon, the battles in Angola and Mozambique with Portugal, Israel and Egypt, The war in the Congo., I would also like to see the Falklands War added, but not sure if this would qualify as cold war related. Maybe they will throw in a couple missions like, rescuing a downed spy plane pilot shot down in soviet territory, Intercepting a weapon shipment aboard a ship taking arms from Russia to Viet Nam..etc.
Add in a limitless amount of possible fictional battles and we are looking at the possibility of a great diversity of playable maps, but curious how they will keep everything together story wise.
I am looking forward to it, I am also one of the few people that did not have a problem with COD5 and quite enjoyed it.
As for MW3, just remember the gaming industry is in it to make cash, MW1 and 2 were big hits and the developers would be insane not to continue the franchise till it is not profitable, so yes you can bet your ass there will be a MW3 and probably more after that.
As far as changes.. I would love to see dynamic weather and earth rotation, where the time of day changes as you play. such as you see in games like world of Warcraft. depending on when you get in a game or how long you are in it can be day or night. Would also like to see some customizable uniform cammos or customizable player option such as in Rainbow 6 Vegas games, rather just random characters each time you spawn.
When you shoot down an aircraft..Any of the falling debrie should be solid, be able to kill anyone it falls on and the reckage should remain in the map where it fell for the entire match, This would provide new cover and obsticles in a match which would be different all the time, imagine having a giant hulk of a Pavlow coming down between buildings just right and blocking a passage, or coming down in a wide open are providing extra cover or a new camping area against or for snipers.
Oh.... And finely....in a multiplayer match, If you head shot someone with a large caliber weapon.....LET THE HEAD EXPLODE!

they also need a charachter customization mode, online, like in halo, you can unlock new pads, torsos, heads, and legs parts from enemies and charachters from all of the modern warfare's by doing tasks like multiplayer challenges,and single player achievements like beating levels on Veteran(could you imagine how badass you would feel owning with Ghost's mask, a juggernaut torso, and black and red camo?)
New multiplayer modes would be nice, and more spec ops using levels from MW1, and new ones from MW2, if they don't release them from IW for a badass expansion pack
