Ok so I do not know what they officially call it, but I have been reading up on the game and have come across some interesting chatter.
It seems the developers have put a massive amount of effort into building the game characters in great physical detail from the inside out, literally.
The zombies will have a full skeletal structure, muscle structure and skin.
The game will have a few guns here and there if you are lucky enough to find one, but they will have very limited ammo and/or break down quickly.
The game is set up so you depend heavily on Melee weapons.
Different weapons will have different effects on the zombie, if using a blunt object you will see blunt damage to the undead you attack.
If you get your hands on an axe or machete you can expect the zombie you strike to suffer slicing damage.
This is where the zombie mechanics come into play, you can be very specific about where you hit a zombie, its not just head, body or limb, you can hit a zombie dead center in the head and split his skull open and kill him, or you could be off a few inches to one side on your swing and slice off one side of his face, taking off skin, revealing muscle tissue, skin and muscle exposing bone, or go a little deaper and create a cool full cross section exposing internal organs like the brain and have the zombie still come at you,
You can cut off limbs and heads and have the thing gnawing at your feet.
this game is going to be nasty.

Im getting excited about this one. I hope it stays scary and serious, Really hope it does not get too goofy.
Has anyone watched AMC's "The Walking Dead"? I waited till they showed the entire season then watched the recorded vids all in one day.
I have to say, the scariest scene in the entire series for me, was in the first part of the first episode where he was walking down the hospital stairwell that had no lights, he was lighting his way down with a book of matches, one match at a time, then it would go out and it was pitch black for several seconds each time he had to light a new one. That scene scared the crap out of me. It was very well done.

No i haven't but it sounds like something i would love.. The last good horror series i watched was the Masters of Horror but that stopped im sure.
i was also going to mention maybe we should link to that old thread about zombies and what items you would take.. i should have added it to the zombie island story too. (which i can) _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:
