well i got my graphics card that i wanted just incase i do some gaming on this pc and after all is said and done i will have only paid $117.00 for it which kicks ass.
Click here Its a EVGA 01G-P3-1467-AR GeForce GTX 465 (Fermi) Superclocked 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 original price $249-$30 instant savings comes to $219 with 10% discount = $22 = $197- $40 gift card i got from purchasing my cpu brings it to $157 then there is a $40.00 mail in rebate which brings it to $117 not bad i would say.
Also found my Hard Drive i am going to get. Harddrive 120gb pci with these speeds
Sequential Access - Read:up to 540MB/s
Sequential Access - Write:up to 490MB/s
price is high but im not in a hurry to get it just quite yet so maybe wait for it to go on sale but this saves me a sata port and also has faster speeds then ssd drives 120gb around the same price range only hit 300 or so on reed and write.
cant wait tell this beast is put together. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
If your going to do a lot of photo and video editing you may want to look into getting a workstation card. It won't play games as well as a desktop graphics card but it will make editing a lot faster.
a very nice tip indeed darth.. I take it you do a bit of graphics??
Maybe that's something i should look into when i start to build my new rig after xmas.
When I took drafting at my school we used autocad which had workstation cards in the computers. Even though they were older cards then GTS 250, trying to do autocad work at home on my PC was much slower. _________________________________________________________

About the AMD vs Intel war.. I use to use AMD for workstations and servers but unfortunately too many incompatibility issues and glitches making then constantly unreliable. The Intel always work perfectly, so in the end that's all I use now. Well, that is server class hardware anyway.
Nice computer you are building there SCAREFACE! I can't wait to start building a computer. I already started, I have the Monster case, It can hold 20 drives, not sure I need that many hehe. Next I'll select the motherboard. I am thinking to have Intel i9 but not sure yet but I really want to have solid state drives in it. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
I'm not sure which program you are going to use for video editing and such, but if it has the capability for the nvidia cuda, which uses the gpu for faster processing times, then by all means make use of it. You notice the difference in quality even in normal settings with less pixelation.
I do like AMD for it's cooler temps at high load, which is good for a htpc but thats it. When I build a computer, the enviroment is not in mind about power usage
SSD drives, go with the new corsairs out right now for three reasons.
1)Faster across the board than any other ssd out right now.
2)I has Trim supported in Win7 with no issues at all for consistant speeds.
3)Indilinx Barefoot controller, Samsung flash memory, which is the best of both worlds.
Don't go huge with the ssd, just enough for your programs and windows install, get a WD black edition 1TB for data. IT works great. I have built a couple systems with this setup and it's flawless, and made me jealous.

FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING SSD's
For those that are not aware, as I was not till a few weeks ago.
Before purchasing a SSD you should study up on Trim and garbage collection.
Solid state drives are very fast but quickly fall off in performance and speed after some use, they will become sluggish. This is due to poor or no Trim/garbage collection capabilities.
A few SSD's now do have Trim capability allowing the SSD to maintain its performance.
Now if you were to raid more than one SSD that trim capability would be lost, but now I think Intel had solved the problem but you would have to use a select Intel motherboard and I think windows 7 is required.
Go study up on the net the subject of SSD trim and garbage collection and why it is important.
I know one card that has working trim is The Intel X25-M 160GB
But for trim and raid, you need a motherboard that supports trim, and OS that supports trim and all your SSD's must be trim supported.
At this point I would not waste money on a SSD that does not have TRIM. A HDD would be superior. But if you go with a SSD with trim you will maintain the performance of a new SSD for its lifetime.
A SSD without Trim is like a new car that you are not permitted to ever change the oil or air filter.

thanks for info gameover i was looking into the pci slot one ocz makes heard really good things about it but 120gb one with 500mb read and write cost about $280-300 which not bad considering the cost of a 120gb ssd standard with 250mb up and down cost about $230-250. Not sure what i want to do yet might even just go with a 6gbps 7200rpm sata 2 hard drive. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
