i have a netgear wnr2000v2 and it wont let me have the same name and i dont know what to do from there . i got the numbers that the xbox uses in the router and i need help to finish setting up.

what you need to do is set your xbox 360 up with a STATIC IP address.
Just find out what range your pc is in when connected to the router.
eg. do this.
1. Get a command prompt up/
2. type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes
3. Jot down the ip address your computer is using (its up the top)
4. Now give your xbox 360 an ip address very similar.. (change one number on the end.)
hopefully this will help you get closer to what your talking about.
