Just curious as to everyone's opinion. I personally will wait till there's a way to load homebrew and such. I really hate to see a hack that just supports piracy only. I know this is a major achievment for the 360 scene, and hope to see this as a way to open the doors wide for running any homebrew.

Personally i believe you will have to run the firmware mod to get homebrew running anyway... Thats why im interested in it..
Also, im interested coz i own alot of 360 games already and i dont want to get any of them scratched or broken thats for sure..
Ill be trying my own dual firmware mod with a switch..
Im planning to do it over the next 2 months.. Just need to save,

I just bought another 360 so it's going to become my testing machine. As soon as it gets in that is the first thing that I am doing. Then I'm going to start doing case modifications, cause I'm going to leave my other one stock all the way, just so I still have all my Live stuff.

For the moment i'm sticking with my Stock 360, but i will be trying it if I get my hands on a second 360. I still think its going to be very hard to keep 360's cracked even if you don't play on XBL.
Say they did release a patch that would stop you patching your firmware on XBL, you would have to give XBL a wide birth. But MS are more tricky than that with the 360.
They are just as likely to slap that patch on a whole host of new game discs and force you to install the patch to be able to play them.
Also do you lot think the delay in the new updates from MS is because they are trying to find a way to block these firmware hacks from working?
But having said all that i'm not all up on how easy, if at all you can block this kind of stuff. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

I would like to do the duel Firmware mod- but i dont think it would be long before they find out how to detect that- plus i suck at soddering...lol

you guys are aware of the lifetime return policy of costco arent you all? , you an buy a 360 for about $530.41 estimte and say it breaks on you just go to the store , not even recript is require nor the casing or anytin... and you get your full cash refund not store creidt just cash exacly what you paid for even tho if the price changes later on. thats where i bought it and its the best place for tvs or anyting in eletronics... ever since i found out of that store i never went to anoterh one unless costco doesnt have it.

The lifetime return policy is good without a doubt. But when you update your 360 and the firmware is detected the 360 is useless and so is your gamertag. Once you are banned you need to start all over again. So yeah you get a new 360, but you also have to get a new gamertag and reclaim all your achievements and points. _________________________________________________________
