Last wednesday i get the red ring of death on my xbox so i wont be playing for a while. I havent called xbox yet to see if i can get it fixed since the warranty is expired but hopefully i can.

Well, give M$ a call and find out as quick as you can.
If it's under warranty you will want to send it back ASAP.. It only takes around 1-2 weeks max to get your rrod box back fixed.
