Hey Sjohn- can you PM the HTML code for posting Reviews (i want to add sweet pics and sub-menus!!)
I'm PDFing an example (A sugguestion) On how the layout of our reviews should be, i learned a thing or two about game journalisim while in school (Unfortuanlty they failed to correct my poor use of grammer mechanics and spelling fluency) but eh, what can you do?
So im going to first PDF my review and submit a copy to Sjohn and hobbs (See how you guys like it) i've been working on it for abot 20minutes now, and so far im happy with it,
As for the Game Break down (Pickup and play, Visual Flair, The script, attention span, and lasting power) i love. Why do i like it so much?
Its all original Decriptions- we dont want to sound like Game informer, or Gamepro when describing our games- although i think a "pros" and "Cons" would be a neat addition.
As for taking our own screen shot's- im working on that right now- i just need watermark material (so we can lable them as our own) another addition that hobb's was talking about is- lets make sure we include achivement points- a description, and cool little pictures!
Then, in addition to the comments above- a 1-10 scale is perfect (with halfs rounded as well) i mean, why should we rate it 1-100 (think about it- this game has a 50/100- why cant we just make it simple like a 5? it rounds the same) but if we took the 1-100 scale we could break it down to letter grades (such as in school)
91-100= A
83-90 = B
etc.
etc.

Sounds great, a 10 point scale with 1/2s that gives us about 20 points really to use. I liked those fields to break a game down by, should cover most games pretty well. You've got a PM. _________________________________________________________

just to give you guys an idea.. Dont worry too much about the layout as their is only one person who can design it and it is me.. Sure post your ideas etc but i have it already planned.
Obviously the site design we are using is inspired by gamespot.com.. i suggest you check out their areas and you will see the end product..
We will ofcourse surpass them eventually with all these custom features i plan to add.. And if we get approve by xboxlive.com we can show achievements etc etc all over the place in our profiles.
just get the data into the database.. Text and images.. Once i get the time the site will come together..
Just remember its just me..
thanks for the input too guys.. I do take it on board but i do have a project plan.. Im sure you guys know this place is huge and the code must be compatible for each of the HQ network sites.

I dont understand what you need a template for guys.
Just type in word.. Then when its ready copy and paste into the SUBMIT NEW REVIEW area.
Its not a html template at all.. Its all php and mysql guys so im sorry it just not that simple.
All you need to do is write text.. then link to images which are already in the images database for that game.
its not too hard.. dont worry about anything but your review and some screens.. thats it.. (oh and of course your scores)
If you want to see what our reviews section will be moulded off go to gamespot.com under xbox 360 and check out how they do it.
