I've recently flashed my lite on 83850v1 and am having trouble playing my backups. I kept getting graphic distortion and unreadable disc errors. I reflashed it and now i just get unreadable disc errors. My backups are on Verbatim dvd+r dl discs, ripped from the originals by xbox backup creator and my D163B. The discs worked perfectly on my old ms25. What else could it be?

What version of iXtreme did you use to flash?
Sounds like a strange problem.. Liteon's normally are great reading backups.
When you say graphical glitches have you tried loading the same game onto the 360 HDD and see if it persists.. If you till receive graphic glitches once you have loaded it onto your hdd then you may have some other problems not related to your DVDROM. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

I flashed with LiteOn_iXtreme_83850c-THX_v1.6. I don't know if it makes a difference but I extracted the key and spoofed with jf and flashed with dosflash.
Also, it is an arcade version so I don't have a hard drive. Sorry.

I've also notice a lot of erratic behavior with the drive. you can hear the laser going crazy. I noticed that even before i flashed the drive. any other thoughts?

If it was noisy before you flashed then more then likely it sounds like there is a physical problem with your drive. .. The liteon drives i have done are very quite and work flawlessly. Maybe try burning your backups on another drive OR another brand of media.
@ dbeal
How did you get around your problem dbeal?? Buy a new burner?

Well from what i no.
The xbox may be on its way OUT.
If it is rrod NXT.
As for the drive..ive put new drives in xboxes,if the box is going to lets say rrod, then you may think its the drive but its not the drive its the xbox.
Ie the video chip is F-_ked.
Edit again.

I was afraid to take it back for the fear that I would get the 93450c. So I bit the bullet and that's exactly what happened. I suck at soldering, so I won't be modding for a while. Thanks for all your support!
