Just a quickie here..
The 360 is a lovely bit of kit thats for sure and I know its still very early days yet, but i'm worried that the 360 might just miss out of one type of game just as the Xbox did..
That would have to be a 'C&C Generals' type game. I was personally amazed that nothing like that ever came out for the Xbox, so fingers crossed the 360 won't miss out on such a sweet type of game.
I think 'The Outfit' is as close as its got yet.
Another type of game i'd be itching for would be an 'Official FIA F1 Game' for the 360 as again there has been none on the Xbox since errm i think 2000 or 2001?! Being a die hard F1 fan i'm itching the burn about the track in my favourite team car.
But it looks like this will never happen as Sony has rights for this to the PS3. :/
So heres hoping at least one of these games hits the 360.. If not, i guess I could always buy a PS3 too..
Any thoughts on this? Or maybe a type of game your itching to get your mits on? _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

anything by rockstar, (except table tennis, yawn) another installment of the GTA series preferably. I also cant wait for a moto GP game, hopefully namco will put out a title to dominate THQ's moto GP series (again). Or any swat-type shooter, like counter strike. Forza 2 and of course, halo 3. E3 should shed some light on the future software for the 360.
JAyoz, have you played Act of War for the PC?? Very similar to C&C series. Check it out if you never played it... _________________________________________________________

Another instalment of GTA would be pretty good, but lets face it we would have to wait till the PS3 came out for a new instalment of that one and then a further year for it to be ported over to the 360... (If we are lucky)
What about another instalment of Mercenaries? That was as close to GTA as you could get, only with big mofo guns and tanks.. Personally I loved that game, even more so than the last GTA which I found a pain in the arse.. So a new instalment of that would be welcomed by me.
Which also gets me wondering whether Lego Starwars II will hit the 360!? If you have ever played the first one you will know what a great laugh this is to play with your mates.
A MotoGP game would be fun too. Mmm, swat-type shooter.. Rainbow 6 game maybe? but then again with the news Valve is developing for the 360 we could always get the HL/Counter Strike port.
TBH I never really got on with Forza, now Midnight Club 4.. Having only just decided to go Xbox Live Halo 3 would be sweet as online. And even better once my new 2mb line gets installed.
Personally i like the sound of the fact Microsoft are developing 'normal' type games for the 360 too, rather than being just for the hardcore gamer, it will help open the console up to far more people and hopefully give us lot a better variety of games to play.
Mmm, I think i've kinda heard of it. But tbh I've let my PC slip and its no match to even play Generals anymore after a storm took out my mainboard/gfx card and soundcard, I thought Fuk it!! And just went bog standard.. Sad i know, but I might upgrade it some day.
Got my eye on a 32' LCD HD ready TV tho... _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Test drive!? Holly crap i've not heard of that game for years... Now if i remember correctly Test Drive was all about GFX rather than gameplay, amazing as it looked back in the day.. The gameplay was rather lacking..
The cars do certainly look pretty damn good from the screen shots i've just looked at, lets hope they remember to put some gameplay in there too.
I do have to say tho, as polished a looking car as you can get.. The likes of PGR 3, Burnout Revenge and Test Drive they really don't look that realistic.. Due to the fact its like driving a highly polished car around the track all the time.. I mean where’s the dirt, muck, scratches, dents, crumples that make the car look and feel real?
You know what i mean, its the 'Toy Story' effect, everythings so perfect and clean it actually looks unreal. If that even makes sense.
I think Burnout got this quite close tho, I really love the look of the cars once you've been in a battle or two. As for Test Drive, do you think they will have damage to the cars at all? Judging by the fact they are using actual car manufacturers!
Looks to me like a 'Show Room Car' game, lets hope not tho. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

I know exactly what you mean, on pgr3 the cars look so shiny and sparkley that it makes it hard to belive that they are real cars, they look way to real, there should be dirt on the wheel arches and stuff like that just to give it that senes of what a 'normal' car looks like when its being used.
I know what M$ are trying to do, there trying to show off the real capibilities of the 360 but if they could just alter little changes like these it sure would add up in the end and make 360 gaming a whole lot beter in my opinion.
thats just my theory anyway

Almost all big name car manufacturers won't allow damage, they are afraid it will tarnish their image. I don't think we'll ever see a truely great damage model in a game until the big car guys loosen up a bit with their precious symbols. Some paint scratches is about all you really see, and anyways would you really want to have to pay in-game to repair after you wreck so much? Also what about this online game, what if someone comes out of nowhere and totals your car, it's a bit more about fun than it is about realistic as far as damage goes. This game is looking great, I watched a few videos of it in action, the sound when driving a motorcycle is amazingly close to the real sound, I think this is going to be one game that really feels like you are driving the car, you can roll down the windows, that changes the sound, you can adjust the volume and song of the radio, I've even heard that you can raise and lower the tops on convertibles.
I was watching the newest video released today and it had bug splatters on the windshield, i've heard they made the wipers actually work in this game, so maybe when it rains if you don't use them you can't see as well, I hope they include the option for some RAIN-X hahahaha. This is my most anticipated game of this year, sure gears of war and such will be good, but i've been waiting on a game like this. From everything i've read, and the videos i've watched, this game does everything perfect.

I can fully understand that, but by adding them mud splats, scratches and dents in real time it will surely prove the systems power far more than these infinitely shinny cars. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

You know if you go back some 10 years the original Test Drive's had working wipers you can turn on or off, working head lights you can turn on or off, bug splats and rain.
Overall it does sound pretty good I have to say and I will be grabbing a demo when its out on Live!. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1
