Hey guys, does anybody know if it's possible to go on XBL when you have the dvd firmware flashed with any of the GaryOPA firmwares for the Hitachi drives??

As far as everyone seems to be able to tell, there's no way for M$ to detect it, but with the new stealth firmwares, it seems like they may think M$ will try to detect it and have already made ways around that, so it looks like you can go on XBL perfectly fine, just becareful and don't be surprised if you get banned. _________________________________________________________

Although I have not played a backup yet my Hitachi is modified with the GaryOPA. No problems!

Yes, ive heard of many guys using xbox live without a problem but i doubt it will last too long.. Who knows what they are dreaming up..
I seriously suggest using a seperate gamertag if your machine is modded..
Personally i went out and got a 2nd 360 just for modding and playing my backups.
