This is the car I got for my first one. It's a 1989 Chevy Silverado 1500 that my parents bought new. It just got repainted a few years ago and then just sat in the garage till I got it.

Great! My first vehicle was a truck. Love trucks man. and the silverado is a good truck, I have owned a couple and they never let me down. Cool of your parents to get you that. That truck is always going to be your favorite car now. we truck owners should post our rides.

I'd love to see some of yours since I know you have/had some lifted one. _________________________________________________________

This was my 94 full size Chevy Blazer, And yes I did take it off road. You can see I had the limo tent on front windows which is illegal here in Ca but it sure looks cool, also notice I had no mud guards on the fenders, This caused the highway patrol to constantly pull me over and give me a hard time. I was not going to ugly her up with mud guards. Also I was making a lot of trips back and forth to L.A when I was diving, The 9 miles a gallon was killing me. I ended up selling her. The truck is larger than it looks in the pic. I felt like I was sitting on top of a house driving that around, Awesome.
This was my 91 Chevy Silverado, Basicly the same truck as yours dartht33bagger but lowered, a supercharger and headers added and a cool paint job by Santini. It also had a limo style rear window where the entire rear window would roll down with the push of a button, it had all the custom aluminum billet stuff inside as well. I had it parked outside my apartment one night and someone did a hit and run on it. the area between the rear tire and Driver door was smashed in. I ended up selling the truck. It was featured in the November 94' issue of truckin magazine.
its charger..
And this one is still my favorite, a 78 chevy pickup. nothing fancy, just a big dependable V8 and a little bit of lift. It was my first truck and wish I still had it. But it too was a gas hog. it had 2 gas tanks, one on each side. the dash had a gas gauge for each and a knob to switch from one to the other. I never had a single problem with this truck and doing tune ups and oil changes was so easy, not like todays vehicles.
I am currently truckles but eager to get back in a 4x4 soon.
Post your trucks guys
