Please tell me they have fixed multiplayer so you can actually race against real cars and not just a timer.. That's the only thing i didn't like about the first one so i'll check it out..
Love a good rally game!
Can someone tell me if the online multiplayer has timers?? Or it has real cars.. Please, pretty please.. lol. This will be my determining factor to buying it i would say! _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

You can play the demo as a multiplayer also, but I havn't got gold so cannot tell you. I have read some reviews and all i found was that it has full head-to-head competative online play.
All i remember about the first one was that all the other players cars were ghost cars, so you couldn't crash into anyone but you still race simultaneously.
Apparently they have changed it slightly to appeal to the American market more, using the names of x-games stars (skateboarders, bmx riders etc) that have started rallying, as rally is only just starting to take off in America. What would Colin say eh! _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

Not much, cause the poor bastard is dead
RIP Colin.
You need to have another person on the track when your rallying.
With a damage engine like they have in dirt, would be too cool to do a pit move to someone your racing and watching the replay of them flying into a tree. _________________________________________________________ Mattster

I hope to receive this game within the next week from lovefilm. I'll post my views when I've given it a good thrashing. Played the demo too, which I loved. Can't wait for this one to come through the post.

I've been playing Dirt for the past few days and it is good, not what i was expecting, its definately not Colin McRae rally anymore, but it is good.
They have added a bit of Virtua Tennis type crap in there, with levels where you have to smash through walls and everytime you smash a wall it adds 2 seconds to your time, a bit shit for my liking.
The graphics are amazing, i put grid on to compare and it looks crap alongside Dirt. But it is obvious Dirt and Grid are made by the same people.
The crashes are great, you can roll your car about 10 times and smash the crap out of it, is good fun.
The thing i hate most is your co-driver now says 'half right' or 'fast left' rather than the traditional way of telling you how sharp a corner is by numbering them.
As a driving game i would say it is good, the best looking driving game out there... until Forza 3 comes out i suspect. But personally i enjoyed the first one better. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
