Hey, welcome to the site, I do not have that game so I am not sure, but I am doing some searching to try to find out for you, Ill post back when I figure it out,
Anyone else here have that game that can help Alioop out?

Well, I am still waiting to hear back from some guys online that are heavy into the game, But from what I have read and seen, I do not think there is any kind of Multiplayer off line for the game.
On the games stats on the back of the case where it lists whats in the game off line and on line (green being the off line or Non-xbox live content) it is stated 1 player. There is also the line that says Versus in offline content but I am beginning to believe that that is when you are free roaming in game and pull up to an AI character and challenge him to a race.
Looks like there is no offline multi-player modes, Sorry. But hopefully one of our regular members that has that game could confirm if this is the case.

Hey Alioop, I just heard back from one of my Midnight Club L.A experts and he informed me that the game has no offline multi player of any kind, and that the Versus mode mentioned on the game box is referring to the in game 1 V 1 in single player, you against the xbox AI.
Sorry bout that, but that game does look Beautiful.

btw i was the dude that helped HQ GAMEOVER to answer that question
and HQ GAMEOVER that police decal for my Audi R8 was handcrafted and made by me
