Hey Hqers, What technology or abilities would you like to see in the next (next gen) xbox console? & for fun what do you think would be a good name for the next system?

For Hardware, My number 1 pick would be the replacement of a HDD with a SSD (Solid State Drive). The SSD would be a major improvement over the 360. The SSD works just like a flash drive. It has no moving parts so is EXTREAMLY FAST in its read and rite speeds, VERY FAST compared to a HDD, so load times of games downloaded onto the drive would be virtually unnoticeable. Also the SSD would be completely silent and use much less power. Not to mention they are very reliable and tough as nails.

As for a name....Xbox da vinci After Leonardo Da Vinci
or Xbox Sagan After Carol Sagan, But unfortunantly sounds a bit like Sega, But he did have the show NOVA so maybe Xbox Nova

I would not mind seeing the project natal come into the actual games that would be the next real step in future gaming lol. Could you beleave seeing some playing halo and you actual doing the stuff master chief does yea that would be cool i think. And the xbox 360 had alot of problems cuase they rushed into the market faster than they should have to and next they should take there time like the wii did a make a great product. I also wouldnt mind have a better hard drive like gameover was saying the downloaded games would run so much smoother.

how about streming the games like off of netflex dose and y do we have to pay so much for a system and still have to pay for the points y not be like PS3. and not have to pay to get online how about this how about just make one system with updates every 6months or every year, and be done with it insted of wasting our time and money. comeon people lets get real now if thay would make a system then take ur time with it yes do not rush in to it. thanks for looking!!!!!

any improvements will be great.. I can't even think of anything hardware to add apart from maybe a faster processor & better graphics chip and more ram hehe..

Im looking forward to "Project Natal" too, should be very interesting.. Smile
Should be fun to start talking to my 360!

Apart from that i hope they focus more on their online service and adding more features to xbox live like:
- larger friends list
- friends groups
- clan support
- online website with all xbox live hiscores

enjoy the sites everyone and be sure to get involved in our online games and website discussions.

Lol easy one

- Upgraded CPU/GPU (obviously, its 5 years old as is)
- No DVD drive, mandatory Terabyte hard drive (save games on your hard drive mandatory, really helps games, take MGS4 for example on PS3)
- For people who like physical copies of their games they could have the games on mini flash drives or SD cards (then transferable to Hard Drive) and if people want to go online they must input the CD key included to prevent piracy. Otherwise all games downloadable to hard drive.

Then as hobbs said various XBL improvements

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

I cant even think about what those crazy bastards will come up with next.

I mean look at the demo's for Project Natal.

People thought that the Wii had innovative controls. Then Natal is the next step in interacting with games.

I read tonight that Fable 3 will have Natal support, that you can pull NPC's out of the way with a gesture etc.
http://www.geek.com/articles/games/fable-3-brings-more-consequence-and-natal-to-xbox-360-20090821/

If this is slated for this generation of Xbox's, what will the Next Gen entail.

Also I am having to much fun with this console, to think about the next one.
