Ive had my 2 last 360s bust out on me with the red rings, they both were resident evil limited. I was just wondering which one I should get between arcade, pro, and elite. Is there one that runs smoother than the others? _________________________________________________________ -Clleavage-

They are all the same, just different storage devices. Do not get the arcade, microsoft should be sued for selling that version as once you buy it, you then need to go out and buy a hard drive anyway. It only comes with 256mb memory card i think and some games have games saves larger than that.
Premium has 60gb hard drive and elite has 120gb hard drive + is black.
There are things to look for like the manufacture date and power consumption to find out what motherboard it has. Not sure what to look for there, someone here will know.
As for opinions, read my sig _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

First of all make sure its a Jasper. The easiest way to tell if its a Jasper is to look at the box and find out its power consumption. The Jasper will take down approximately 12.1A were as the Falcon will pull down 14.2A. From experience if you want to find were this information is, find the flap on the outer side of the box and open it. Move the 360 around until you can see the reading. As for the the differentiation between getting an Arcade, Pro, or Elite is all up to how much you want to spend. The plus about the Arcade is that its cheap and that almost all of them on the shelves are jaspers. The downside is they basically rip you off. If you want proof just compare the contents of each. The downside to the Elite is that not as many are bought and so not as many Jaspers on the shelves. So either buy a Pro or an Elite and hope that the new changes prevent the RRoD. Good luck.

I too have had 2 360's completely die, and thats after they have been sent in and repaired.
I can not comment on what system runs better or is more reliable so I will leave that to the other guys here with more experience with those systems.
If cost is a major issue, as it was with me at the time my second system died. You can get the arcade version and just plug your regular left over hard drive into it, there now you have a pro for the price of an arcade system.
But I have to admit that 20GB just does not cut it any longer, you have room for a few demos, Some download content for some of your games and maybe 1 of your games saved to the hard drive for faster loading and thats it, you are maxed out. So for that reason alone you might want to go for a system with a larger HDD.
If i recall the resident evil limited was a 120 GB HDD so just get an arcade with the built in 512 MB and put the resident evil limited HDD on it, colors will be odd but you are back on live with minimal cost.

You recall correctly. I agree with Wes that this is the best choice for cost efficiency. The only thing you don't get is the chrome disk cover (lol). But that can be fixed mostly without cracking the xbox and thus voiding the warranty. If you do take this route and you want to do this there's a tutorial which I'll provide a link at the bottom.
well both my elites were jaspers.... and I put them in open space and everything so they dont clog up... anyways both broken but no biggy got my refund and thats what counts, I think im just gonna wait for a while till i get convinced to buy a new one. (by the way both my 360s broke in a day which kinda sucks if ud ask me had to go to the store twice XD on the same day) _________________________________________________________ -Clleavage-
