I just got my tax return back, plus hopefully getting some money for my birthday which is coming up soon.
After doing research I've decided to buy my core kit in Australia, for warranty purposes. The extras like the kick pedals and the drum module I'll buy seperately either from here or the US.
It does suck however that you wont be able to use it's full capabilities in Guitar Hero, would be nice if they patched the game so it did.

Dude, if you be my guinea pig ill promise to wire your ION Kit up to your GHWT Kit so you can use guitar hero 100%.. This is the only reason im waiting myself coz i don't have the $$$ just yet.. (i only wish, those ion's are a dream)..
Ive been looking into how it could be done and seriously you would be surprised.. I can see now why guys are having their ion kits next to the GHWT kits now.. They are hardwired..

I'm not gonna even bother with that until I can get a double-kick setup again lol.
I just managed to get through "Shout at the Devil" on Smash Hits (Expert+) with one foot, that was hard enough lol.

I think he's gonna wait until I get one so he can test it out hehehe.
I got my 2nd kick pedal for the ION kit yesterday (which is exactly the same brand as the one used with the kit), and I'm looking into making payment sometime today for the actual kit. Just gonna do one last round of research on prices/warranty etc.

Even just to see someone who knows how to play would be fun especially on a ION kit.. Closest to the real thing for now.. Looks great and cant wait too.
patto will no doubt be having a go when he comes around..
Will be sweet to come over and check your kit when you finalize things.
