recently my xbox died so i decided to just get a replacement drive and get it flashed while i was at it
so the guy im taking it to doesnt now how to take my hitachi 47 firware and key code and put it to a 78k so i take them apart and swap the boards essentially making the new drive a 47
so i take it to him and he bricks it the drive doesnt do anything at all now
so i remove the board and replace it with the 78k orinal board
now in the hopes that he doesnt kill my xbox im really hoping someone out there can help me help him to get my 47 firmware and key onto the 78k board
i am assuming that i can just add the firware for the 78k from the toolbox then cut and paste the key from my saved 47 dump
then flash it or ????
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks folks

The guy youre talking to dosnt no allot,stop talking to him.Ha ha.
You have ure key and files.
You need to spoof the 47,as a 78k.
Use FW tool box.
1st. Make a copy of ure files,and use the copyed files,just in case you F--k up,then you have ure original files as a back up.Copy ure back up copy to ure desk top so you no wher they are.
2nd.Open FW tool box,load the hacked FW from the 78k,then copy and paste the drive key from the 78k into note pad(you will need this key)because you want to spoof the 47 as a 78k,the drive key belongs to the board that had the 78k drive.Save this file to ure desk top so you no wher it is .
3rd..Then load ure hacked FW bin file. from the 47,in to FW tool box.
4th.Copy the 78k key that you have just saved in note pad into the 47 hack FW bin file,useing FW tool box, then hit save key.Also copy the 78k key into the original bin file aswell.
Now you need to spoof the 47 as a 78k.
5th.Load the 47 hacked FW into FW tool box,Make sure its the new hacked FW the 1 that you have just saved ure 78k key into.Go to tools in FW tool box,a small drop down menu will apear,hit spoof firmwear.
6th.Scroll down to hatachi GDR3120L ROM 0078.
7th.Apply spoof .
Now you will see in FW tool box.
Rom vertion 0047.
SPOOFED AS GDR3120L00780**
And the drive key that belonged to the 78k.
Then flash the spoofed FW.To the 47 drive useing FW tool box.
Ther are tutorials on this site,that will show you how to flash the 47.

my original post is hard to understand so let me clarify
i have the firmware and key from my original hitachi 47 saved
however this drive is dead now
i bought a new hitachi 78
what must i do to make this new 78 work in my xbox ?

Spoof the 78 as the 47.
Use FW tool box.
Ure going to have to dump the FW off the 78 1st.Make a back up of the FW.
If ure going to use the board,that the 47 drive came out of use that key.Copy and paste it,into the 78 firmwear, useing FW toolbox.Then spoof the 78 drive as a 47.

easy.. use firmware toolbox..
1. Backup the new 78 firmware then open in firmware toolbox.
2. Copy and paste the key from your dead hitchi into the firmware and update it.
3. You may also want to SPOOF the drive so it looks like the original.. You can do this in firmware toolbox too.
Please use our tutorials as a basic guide.. I have performed spoofing and firmware key changes/drive upgrades nearly 100 times now.. So i know it works just great..
Even better, if you jot down the steps while your doing it on your own it may help others.. Tutorials can be submitted at anytime.
