Hi All
today my 2 month 360 saga comes to an end I received my replacement 360
this morning.
I had to send it back for repair because it was cracking discs and had a noisy
fan.
The noisy fan thing wasn`t an issue, at least i`m sure I could have fixed that
but the Game thing is just wrong.
In my case, I always have my console horizontal & my disks have been cracking from the centre of the disc outwards across the data & become useless. There isn`t much holding my PGR3 together.
Ms kindly told me to put the games into a box with the 360 *making sure it was safely packaged up* and send it to there service centre.
So today when i opened the box they`d sent, there was no extra packaging inside, just a 360, power brick and my games all smashing into each other throughout thier journey no doubt.
also my old broken games with extra damage to the cases due to thier carelessness.
So I figured I`m gonna hit xbox.com forums a rant n rave till I`m blue in the face, Thats when I noticed how many people are having problems with thier 360`s
Doesn`t paint a pretty picture of what`s in store for many, many more if you ask me.
Hold on to your £££$$$ cos I`ve blown over £500 and have only got 1
game that isn`t fubar`d

hey man i have the same problem as you my games are cracking from the inner circle, MS more or less told me its your own fault, so they havent replaced the console nor the games, btw did they only replace Microsoft published games or others like activision puplished games and EA published games. they are really getting on my nerves now, and the support helpline well what can i say when some one from pakistan or somewhere like that answers the phone and doesent have the faintest idea of what i am trying to tell him.

Hi blighty..
Thats no good at all bro.. But im sure you can imagine why there are so many issues with the 360.. It was majorly rushed thats for sure..
I guess im just lucky.. Imagine if my 360 died..?? I imported from the USA etc.. It would be a nightmare.
I lay my 360 horizontal all the time and dont have a issue..
My games are fine thank god.. But then again i remove them everytime i am finished and dont leave them in the drive ever.

Sucks bro,
I leave mine horizontal and the games/dvds in it without problems.
I have a dec 12, 2005 model with the Hitachi drive, my bro has a launch box with a Samsung and he has no problems with vertical play or storage. _________________________________________________________ XBOX v1.6

They didn`t replace any of them & wont either.
well just to put 1 of the discs i have paid £50 for to good use, I couldn`t help
notice that 360 disc scratch easyer than any I`ve ever come across before
so I decided to test the plastic they`re made from.
the outside: softer than a new born baby.
the inside: hard as diamonds.
my verdict: Another ploy to make more money.
People don`t waste your money on the 360! the games are rubbish & will not work as long as i takes to complete them & there are people out there that have had 3 replacement xbox`s already due to machines scratching discs - remeber that m$ isn`t replacing discs instead they tell you that you broke them, not thier machine.
save 4 the nintendo or god forrbid a ps3, but AVOID the 360.

i really feel sorry for you bro..
I myself have nothing but great times on my 360 and so do all my other mates who i helped import..
Maybe a bad batch i would say..
Not good for you at alll.. You should always check on your discs anyway..
I did on my original xbox and other consoles too..
Wont be long and hopefully you can backup those games anyway..
seriously tho hobbs, I`ve shown that disc to a few of my mates today who are looking to buy 360`s and they are all gobsmacked at the soft plastic used to protect the hard plastic.
we`ve been scratching the inner bit of cd with our fingernails as hard as we could without it leaving even the tiny, tyniest scratch. then a light rub on the protective part will scratch and leave a permenant mark.
How can this be right? It is a con and everyone is getting conned.

i hear what your saying mate.. But your problem is NOT that wide spread.. Sure there were some known problems with scratching etc but hardly any members here are complaining..
I play online with most every week.
Good luck with PS3 and nintendo.. lol.. You will need it..
I used to buy every console but theres no point anymore..
Everythings coming to M$ in the longrun..
You cant beat the richest man in the world.
no wonder he is the worlds richest man, not replacing your discs the fucker

It depends really, I know for a fact if i get a fingerprint on any xbox or xbox360 disc i have then i`m gonna get scratches removing them no matter what i use.
We progressed earlier from a finger nail to a kitchen fork ( one you`d eat your dinner with ) & still no marks nor scratches.
when tommorows world first anounced th compact disc they said it was impossable to scratch????
