Yeah so i'm surfin youtube and I saw a video with a dude sayin something about a DVD firmware flash and something about some Stealth Cloning......

If this is so true, people are either getting really smart on crackin this stuff or M$ is just getting really lazy....

Although I do have a Moded XB1 I don' think i'm brave enough to risk breaking my fragile XB360 and getting banned from live...

Whats your thoughts on this...

For me flashing an xbox 360 dvd firmware is very easy, I did it to dozens and I am not banned cause I only play good patched backups.

It is not hard, I think is easier than you think. Take a look at some tutorials.

with the recent lose of my cod 4 and my not so recent lose of assasains creed, and the fact the 360 scracths discs for sure, i have heavily considered flashing my firmware, but i really really dont wanna get banned from xbox live, the 360 seems so fragile, where as my xbox 1 took a kicking and kept ticking...til the hard drive fried lol, but still maybe some time in the future it just sucks that all the piraters doing it just so they dont have to pay for games, where as i legitimately hate it when my dvd based games get scractched and i cant play it again unless i buy a new copy, i stuck with my snes as my main gaming console right upto the point i got my first xbox1, event tho i had other consoles after my since, my snes, nes, megadrive, master stystem all work fine, all the games work fine, and i dont have to worry about ne of them breaking down, where as everytime i press the power button on my 360 i wonder is today the day i get 3rrod?

Dude its sooo easy to mod your 360. It seems overwhelming @ first but just do some reading up and ask a LOT of questions.

As for your video, do u have a link?

My opinion on this? Not worth it. Sure you have alot guys out there saying flashing your drive is easy and they have never been caught using a backup on xbox live. But the risks far outweigh the gains. If you really feel the need to do this go get yourself a cheap old 360 that works from a pawnshop and try it. But never ever play it on xbox live. Microsoft is worth billions because they are intelligent and know what they are doing. If you play on xbox live with a backup disc you WILL get caught eventually. But hey if you feel the need to play russian roulette with your xbox live account knock yourself out.

Id have to agree with Reb on this one. Smile Right on bro.
Sure it is easy to hack a 360 if you need to legitmately use backups but I would never suggest playing them on Xbox Live.. With the release of the new HDD Load feature there is really becoming no use for legitmate backups as much and i think this will help M$ alot.

btw.. no one is hacking a xbox 360 when they flash the dvdrom drive.. They are only hacking a dvd drive.. Just goes to show you the security that the 360 has and why you shouldn't risk it.

eg. no homebrew still, nothing else but backups using dvdrom firmware hack.

just my 2 cents.

Yeah its a risk benefit factor.

If you keep your games in good shape then there is no reason too, plus your warranty will stay intact!

Best Regards,
