Anyone looking into the windows 7 beta yet? It's looking much better than vista which is a huge plus.

I was thinking about trying it out but I only have one computer and I really don't want to screw it up by trying the beta.

I tried to install it but in the process when it needs to reset the computer, it freezes. Tried it a couple of times but same thing.

Use a program like acronis or paragon to backup your c partition and then imstall windows 7. It only takes aroung 5 minutes to restore windows with them programs.

I'll wait till its more stable and there is proof of better performance over xp.

Until then I'll stick with my dual boot of XP and Ubuntu.

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

I actually really like it. It is very fast, and if I wasn't a gamer I would definitely use it as a windows replacement.

Best Regards,

I have Windows 7 installed on a virtual machine in my Macbook Pro and I have not had a problem yet. It runs like XP but looks like Vista. I don't care too much for IE 8 since I really don't like IE to begin with. I also installed it as a virtual on my server and it's pretty fast there as well.

The only thing I don't like is that is still does the "Do you want to continue" crap. If MS knows that people are going to disable it, then why add it in the first place.

That's good news, I hated vista. The continue thing is annoying, but you can turn it off right?
