Oh yah its a Lite-on I didnt study the hack of that driver
It is always best to update to the newest f/w because it is always safer (has more checks etc) but no one exactly knows what is banning people so you can never tell. But as always xbox live is microsofts service and they can ban you for whatever reason and not tell you, so go on live at your own risk.

360-HQ does NOT support piracy and any talk of it will result in the topic being locked and the member possibly being banned.

jungle flasher looks like a nice tool.. Here's a screenshot for those who havent seen it..
We really need a basic tool written that will replace ORIGINAL drives without hacking firmware in one easy step.. A GUI.. That would be a help to all xbox 360 owners and not just homebrew/backup.
Ive been getting heaps of pms, emails and posts about them lately and its only going to get worse as more burn out without warranty.

I dont know Hobbs I think dosflash is always safer plus does that work with Benq and Sangsung????
