Installed X-clamp fix today and just got done playing 2 games of halo 2. No problems to report so far. I'm pretty sure I fixed it, since this is the longest session I've been able to have in a week and a half. _________________________________________________________

You know what the crazy thing is, my brother 360 did the SAME EXACT THING! It frozed on me while playing Psychonauts, and I tried it again next day. It did the same thing. So I played another game and it frozed on that, while just playing it for a few minuets. So I decided to wait before trying again. And after awhile it began to freeze on the Xbox logo lol. _________________________________________________________

It should work fine for you. I had my xbox running up about 2 months before it RROD last week. Easy fix though, loosened the screws abit and its been working fine since then. _________________________________________________________

What i like to do with any of my consoles and the ones i have fixed so far now i don't even have to do the xclamp method to much as i tell the people that buy a console from me if they want the thing to keep working good and that is to bring it back to me and i will clean it fully laser and redo the artic silver again as that does dry up from time to time and so far i have only had 1 bad one been brought back to me were i did have to do a xclamp on but thats about it.
I use the same "x" clamps that come with the console and everything i clean it out good use a purify agent to help the heat get drawn from the cpu and gpu and flow up through the heat sinks quite good. But some consoles can be to late and u probably get a few more months out of them doing the xclamp but who knows some last a year some only last a couple weeks it all depends i guess.
Hope you get up another good runing one again. Myself i got banned not to long ago for some reason they could not tell me why but i did get a new one but it did suck for those few days not being able to play any games online and that but that is what it is ha. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

dartht33bagger it worked like a charm for me too. Awesome stuff. The Xclamps weren't too difficult to get off the rivets and once released, the heat sinks and rivets dropped right out.
