one word.....AWESOME!!!!!!
The only thing I do not like is on some songs like One and Enter The Sandman I was already used to playing them either the RB way or the GH 3 way. Now they went and changed the rhythm so I tend to hit extra notes which are no longer there which screws up my consistency.
Now the songs, ohhhhhhhhhhh the songs, with the exception of a few like Bob Segers Turn the page which should have been Metallica's version, the rest are great. I was up till almost 2am Sunday and last night playing and yes the wife did yell at me..
As in GHWT you can create your player as well as customize your instruments. You also unlock guitars as you play through career mode. You also unlock videos and lyrics as you play career mode. The animated parts between gigs are funny as hell too.
I'm using the GH 3 guitar so I haven't had the chance to try the slide that is on the GHWT guitar, but I'm sure it's easier to play the solos. Overall I give it 4.5 out of 5 picks.
I will try and get a list of achievements and post them here for you guys and gals. _________________________________________________________

I got it when it was released in the U.S (so roughly about 6-7 weeks ago).
Pretty much finished it too, got a big portion of the achievements (735 / 1000).

Finally got my game of metallica.. woot!
It is kick ass.. I like the additional videos where they are showing the guys all straped up in the 3D gear.. Achievements are pretty simple.. Nothing over the top like GH3 etc.
I finished drums, bass and guitar.. Just got to do the singing now.
Played most songs on expert+ to finish drums but realize the i definately need a second kick pedal now just like DJB has.. Oh and some practice..
