no frozen i actually am using a PNY 2 channel raid controller card.i got the thing installed but i believe im stuck at the part where u partition the drive and what not ,the drive is a WD Raptor x sata 150 gb.One of my many probs is i can't get into the set up menu in bois to set it all up.if u need any other info that i haven't listed lemmie know.if u want me to post some vids on this issue lemme know too.
I think I understand. So you want to partition the drive but it won't recognize it in windows? If that is the case follow this
In Windows XP
Start > Control Panel > Classic View > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management (local) > Right Click on your new drive (it should say something like capacity 140gb or something like that) > Format
This is going to take a min for me to explain my soul purpose of doing all this.i'm still trying to get my viper rig to run but the last time i started it up and finnaly got it to post i couldn't get the board to recognize the drive as a bootable drive.{the mobo on the viper doesn't have a card controller but ,listen}i figure if i can get the drive to booted on this computer with windows{2000} on it and everything.i could then take the drive and swap it intil my viper rig and still be able to have my media and be able to swap data from my pc to all my other pc's and my xbox as well.understand? lemmie know if i should futher explain.im using windows 2000 on this computer and its got the card in it.the cards all got the drivers and everything on it and recognize's the drive,but the drive im putting in here in basically dumb as a brick because im trying to get it formatted and have windows on it.i may have to post a vid on this but i need to make it a bootable drive from sata not ide understand? lemmie know if i should futher explain.
