sup guys,
i've got a few lil questions i've been wondering maybe some of could help with em.
1.Why does my drive move from side to side sorta when its exiting the drive case?
2.How do You adjust the laser Poisition of the drive?
3.If you flash your drive to play burned games can u get banned?.....If so how can you without microsoft finding out an banning your account?
4.Tilt controller? worthy opinion?
5.my drive still makes that grinding noise along with the unreadable disc/open tray error! do i have to replace just the motor on the drive or the whole laser motor hardware?
6.DVD scratch stopper pads,worth a crap?
7.Are there any mod chips that are live safe?

3 ) Yes you can get banned, but if you play it smart sometimes you won't get banned. Just remember that flashing firmware is only to play backups of games you legally own

Well it sound like you may need a new DVD drive. I bet that would fix a lot of your problems. Don't think there are any chips available for 360 or any that works for that matter. Your best bet would be to just flash your DVD drive. _________________________________________________________
thanks for the reply on that sik ,im really starting to think that because i don't think the laser lens is going out now that i took the cover off and just used the lil plastic piece on top while it was spinning.i think the motor is self is goin out in it.There for i think buying a new drive would be a good choice of decision.now next question is should i stick with the same drive {samsung- ms28}? or should i get something else? i got a hundred and some change to spend on my mods. Secondly,on the flashing the drive.Is it still a good idea? i just love my account way to much no what im saying!

No problem dude. I would suggest the hitachi drive cause i hear that they are the best and easiest ones to mod. I think that if you do mod your 360 you have to keep your hacked firmware updated, if not then MS lays the banhammer. I could be wrong tho. but if you're like me and love your account so much you wouldn't do it lol _________________________________________________________
i thought about going back with a hitachi drive but i kinda wanna go back with whats already in it that way i don't have to change the drive firmware.and no i don't think ima mod my drive unless i can get some good answers on mods i might do.but thats only if i decide there worth the trouble.
Even if you buy another samsung MS28 your going to have to reflash the firmware because it wont work without the right drive key.
As for what drive to get, I like samsung myself. My old xbox had a Samsung MS28 in it and I loved it. My new xbox has a Hitachi 79 in it and I think its louder and less reliable myself. Don't get me wrong Hitachis are great, but I think a samsung beats it. _________________________________________________________
