I got my 360 back last monday it seemed to be working fine, the dvd drive is now different instead of this
my new one is like this
over the last week i started to play my xbox more often every time i changed the disk i didnt really look at them to see if there was any scratches i just thought o well its a new console so it wouldnt be scratching my disks. this morning i decided to play some fifa 06 to try and get my achievemnet points up halfway through one of my matches the game froze i thought no biggi and turned it back on again the game didnt load and came up with the screen which said please insert this disk into a 360 console. i removed the disk and checked it, there was no circular scratches this time put insted there was cracks coming from the center of the disk, i checked my other games and sure enough i found that my cod2 and pgr both had these cracks. i phoned MS straight away and this time they took the details of my games e.g. were i bought them from, publishers, and the number which is on the inner ring of the disk itself they told me that they would phone me back so im just sitting here myself as my school is off today due to soo much snow , anyways fimgers crossed that MS will phone back with some good news.

Dude, i also heard about the new DVD drives but this is the first incident of them cracking the disks. I hope M$ fix this problem for you soon. Believe me, i know what it's like to be without your Xbox 360 for some time.

my thoughts are with ya totally..
your not alone, my buddy said his 360 scratched his game so when i grabbed the game to check it out i realized it wasn't scratched at all but like you said i noticed a small crack coming from the center hole i just figured that he stepped on it or somthing but now i don't know what the hell too think. my buddy also bought his with no receipt so he's screwed but lemme know what u hear from rip-u-oft err... i mean micro$oft

ok guys i have recieved no word yet so ever from MS i am getting a litle bit pissed off now, so i think im going to give them a phone tonight and ask them whats happening, i am too scared to play anymore games as i dont want to ruin any more.

i agree call them more often.... the more pressure they get the faster they WILL help u.... cuz of ur 3 month warranty ..... i got the drive with the first holes looks like samsong drive but damn it why didnt i read it when i opend it up? but it looks like ur new drive...
so far only 1 disc has a smal small crack... its the oxm #55 issue demo.... my other games work perfect... well kameo frezes a bit but its cuz im usin a d-skin disc... ill try it w/out d-skin disc see what happens.. anyways back to u ... good luck w/ that man _________________________________________________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
