yeah i had no idea about that thanks for the heads up xboxexpert this was my first cold cathode install ive since put it back in the housing and moved it luckly nothing happened thanks again
I can not stress enough how much voltage goes through those caps on the board for the Cold Cathode. I in no way would ever reccomend putting that bare where you have it. That is a fire hazard in every sence of the word. My professional opinion is no one attempt that including yourself. Move it and shield it. You will create a massive surge that could blow a hole in the 360 motherboard if any part of that touchs just a resistor underneath it.
Wow that sounded just like that scene from ghostbusters when they were talkiing about never ever crossing the particle streams or whatever! _________________________________________________________

Just an idea of what could happen...
First was a bad CC Rail pushing out too much voltage
Second the air flow was cut off being smashed inside a case upside down
Third is just what you were doing, a kit out of plastic that was set on a motherboard and touched a electrical component

Wow that looks alot like the paint I was going to use for the superman 360. But I think I will go with gloss instead of metallic.
