i tryed that last time and it didn't do anything different! i think im going to have to reformat the drive ,so ill have to live with it till i get the new drive,i don't feel like renaming all those songs and names......omg thats a drag.anyway if u have any other sugguestions lemmie know and i'll try em.
CHEERIO!
If you are hooked up too xbox live you shouldn't have to name any songs whatsoever. They have a neat program that scans the disc and says what songs are on it along with the name and singer. That is unless it is a burnt disc. _________________________________________________________

yea. sadly most of them are, but i have some that aren't.games saves and what not, are easy to move.could i move game saves from off my 360 with the "xport360 transfer kit" i used it a while back to move my game saves from my xbox 1 to my 360.also u think a mem card is a wise investment? _________________________________________________________
I think it is, because you can save your profile on there and then you can bring your profile to your friends house (or another xbox) without having to re-download it on xbox live (which can take a while if you have a lot of achievements like me) _________________________________________________________

Exactly the bigger the memory card the better. I use my memory card all the time too transfer saved games from one 360 to another. I have four working 360's in diferent parts of the house and I like to move my saves between them depending on what system I am using. Also like FF said I have my profile on it also which is much better then having to recover your gamertag over at your friends house. _________________________________________________________

guys if you think about it, i wouldnt think that the hard drive would matter for anything to have to do with the xbox, because what about core xboxes?

Well when a hard drive is there the xbox is going to store a cache there. I bet if you compared a fresh cache cleared xbox compared to a core/arcade the one with the hard drive starts up faster. _________________________________________________________
yeah prolly, but it wouldnt effect anything else really....like space wise i wouldnt think because they cant make the games around the hard drive just for that reason.
I thought I would let you know what is wrong with the dvd tray, but one question though. It has no problems when a game is in it right? If so, the top magnet in the drive is sticking to the centering spindle on the bottom. It's the same plague that the old xbox's were having. For some reason it appeared it actually gained force to hold it down. You can try replacing the belt(if it has one) and greasing the tracks, but it probably won't work. I have had to fix a couple of these recently myself. You can actually feel the force when lifting the lid off if the assembly is at it's highest point to read the disk. I used small little peices of electrical tape and put it on the metal part of the top spindle to space it a bit, but don't use too much or the disk will not be held tight and spin and flop.
Hope this helps out.
