I was going to post this on the thread already started for it but I cant find it. Anyway, I remember a post last week asking for suggestions for the site and I have just thought of a couple that I would really like.
1. A comment section or comment link attached to each news post. When a news is posted you would have a comment tab you could click on to post your comments rather than having to go to the forums and start a new thread, even if you do this the forums link for the news story will not take you to that thread anyway. We have the "discuss this story in our forums" link but this just takes you to the main forum page rather than to something specific for the story. So preferably a dedicated comments thread for each news story or maybe a dedicated forum section just for news so if you click the forums link it will take you to the news forums.
I think comments section for the news story itself would be best. often I want to make a short comment on a news story but dont feel it is worthy of starting a forum thread.
2. A way to see more of the recent posts in order of activity, just like the recent posts we have on the main page, I would like a tab we could click on that would take you to a page that shows same thing but that would be much extended, such as the 100 most recent active topics. Often I want to post on a topic I have seen a week or two ago but cant find it because I don't remember what forum section it was posted under, such as the suggestions post, if I could just look at more of the recent topics it would be easy to find, The way it is now, once the post goes off the main page I don't often try to find it because it can be very difficult to find.
Those are the only 2 things I can think of, other than that I am really happy with the site.

And your wishes will be granted.. I have plans for all those features myself.
We used to have comments in our news but we were getting spammed so i need to make a approval system for our news comments.
Thats the only reason it was really removed.. Apart from that it was working just fine..
The Active Topics Pages will be updated soon so dont worry.
It will be very similar to the new BLOCK on the homepage..
The tabs idea does make things much faster and thats why ive implemented it in most areas.
anyway, thanks for the input.. keep it coming.
