Hello
I have a question , Is there a Sata controller which will work with any Xbox Drive to flash the memory ? Or do i have to buy different ones to each drive ? Because I heard about some compatibility problems.

There is some compatibility problems but I am sure there is a pci card out there that will flash them all. I have a pci card that flashed Samsung drives no problem but wont flash Hitachi's. I have to use my ext hard drive enclosure for Hitachi drives.

so what should i have to flash most of the dvd drives?
i recently bought sata pci adapter on via chip , that would do most of the drives?

Depending on the actual chipset that is on the Via card you should have pretty good compatibility. I have a Via VT6421 and it works like a charm.

I also have the Via6421 and it wont flash hitachi drives for some reason. I just bricked my 78 and I am looking for someone to flash it for me.
