Hi everyone I just thought I would let you know that I recently purchased a 360 core system that still has all warranty seals intact and it doesn't recognize controllers. So I am going to send it in to microsoft and get it fixed and begin some cosmetic mods on it when it gets back. I am pretty pumped! I have a elite system but this system will be primarily used for mods like fans and such. Also I want to paint the case and make it look personalized. I will keep you updated with pics and such! _________________________________________________________
Oh I almost forgot to add that this will be a test for microsoft as to how fast they fix it and send it back. If you haven't been following the topic this is funny posted by dbeal he has been having major issues getting his system fixed and has been getting all kinds of free stuff because of it. So I will use this topic to update my first contact with microsoft and how long I was on the phone with them before they offered to fix it and other juicy details!!! This is going to be exciting folks!!! Like I said I will keep you posted on every step of the process. It should be pretty interesting given my expertise with customer service centers. _________________________________________________________

Yup, keep us informed rebel.
I know of several guys that had absolutely no problems getting their 360's fixed.. Like 14 days max turn around it was..
Not sure about right now though since sales have increase so dramatically over the past few months.
Im sure it will all go smoothly my friend.
DBeal is just having some bad luck like i had when i got a idiot from support.
Well another interesting item on this story will be that the place they repair the 360's is not very far from where I live!!! LMFAO so it will really be interesting to see how long it takes too get back! I should have the 360 in my hands from the guy I purchased it from on ebay in about 1 week or so and then the story begins! _________________________________________________________
I just found out from the guy that it actually is a premium system without the hard drive not that it matters really and that it was manufactured 9-7-07! He says it just doesnt recognize controllers and that it plays the discs just fine. Is this a common problem with 360's? And is it a easy fix? I am just wanting to know for research purposes on this story I am going to do in case microsoft says it is a hard fix and will take longer. Any info would be appreciated. _________________________________________________________

Well like I said keep your eye on this topic because as soon as I recieve the 360 I will be sending it in and keep you guys informed step by step through the whole process. It ought to be interesting and informative. Also like I said the repair center is not to far from where I live so we will see how fast they fix it and put it in my hands again!!! _________________________________________________________
Okay considering the fact that the guy who sold me the xbox has sent it priority mail and it should be to me within a day or so and he also gave me the numbers on the xbox I have already started the ball rolling to the repair!! I contacted Microsoft support via email on Monday January 28 at 8:00 pm. I have yet to even recieve a automatic email stating we have recieved your request and are looking into it email. So that is where I am now. I will keep you posted if I do recieve a response. If no response is recieved by today I will contact Microsoft Customer Support by phone tommorow. _________________________________________________________
