I assume you can only update your 360 dashboard via xbl, or can you download to a cd and update it that way Question

I think you can do it with the demo discs that come with the xbox magazine..not 100% on it tho

id imagine a newer game (released after dec 4 2007) would have it but that would be just a guess

You can get updates with the silver free xblive account.

I know the the xbox magazine offers xbox game emulator updates but I don't think for dashboard updates but not sure man

ok if i download this put it on a cd......

and update that way will it mess up my xbox cos the dvd-rom is flashed...

yea its finally on the m$ site,thanks for pointing it out, but again will the update itself ban me from playin back up games, even though i never use xbl since my f/w is flashed. so basically has anyones f/w flashed console been banned after puttin the new update.

My modded console accepted the update no problems.
Working just fine!

I suspect microsoft didnt want any problems in the update thats why they didn't run checks.
