I'm having problems connecting to Vista from my xbox. The xbox does not find my PC when I try connecting to it from the xbox but the Vista PC can see the xbox.

Also, I have an older XP PC that can see the xbox without a problem.

Any ideas on what the problem is with Vista and 360?

So when you setup your other computer running normal WINXP does it have the exact same software and network setup?

When i say that i mean your new pc isnt running any additional software or anything? I would try to turn off all my firewalls for the VISTA machine and try again.. Im sure if there was a problem you could download a patch pretty much instantly from the M$ site.

anyway, let us know how you go.

I had the same problem, until I hooked up my 360 through my ADSL modem. Vista picked it up straight away and I didnt have any problems, I could use media centre to stream movies and music straight to my box.
I dont know why but if I connected my ethernet cable to the PC it wouldnt work until I plugged it into my Modem.
