Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about ModshopPlace.com
I paid for a modded xbox360 and got crap in return. I recommend you don't do business with these folks.

Report them to the BBB. I did it to an online dealer before and i eventually got all my money back. Didn't take too long either, only a couple of months, which is better than not getting your money at all i suppose. _________________________________________________________ Predtech

How did you pay? If by credit card or paypal report them. They will have to have proof they shipped it too you in order for you not to get your money back. _________________________________________________________

That's horrible man....i know on xbox-hq we have a whole thread of nothing but sites that ppl have been ripped off on...ill definately add this one really appreciate the heads up 2 man...i would report them too...nothing worse than getting ripped off....i ordered a used AR for a reg xbox on Amazon.com...never recieved anything and then i couldnt access my Amazon account still cant get into that damn thing...and ive done everything i can do...prolly didnt lose as much as u did but i can only imagine _________________________________________________________

I thought this too at first. Turned out to be my own ignorance instead. I sent them my Xbox 360 Elite 1 week after I purchased it. I bought the NME 2.0 installation package for $160.00
ModShopPlace's shipping is extremely slow, but that is about the only thing I can say bad about them. They are in Canada (i'm from USA) so the slow shipping constitutes itself.
Anyways, I did not know to use NME Associator and merge the SS.bin with the ISO to get the chip to read the disc. Also, I did not know you needed to hold the power button for a few seconds to activate the mod chip. I emailed ModShopPlace, told them my problem. "Bill" gave me step by step instructions and my problem was resolved.
I can now backup 360 games without a problem. I still have yet to figure out how to burn Normal Xbox games and get them to work on my modded NME 2.0 360. If anyone knows how please inform me, It would be greatly appreciated.
They are not a scam, perhaps you just had bad luck, have you tried resolving your problem with their customer support?
