A few weeks ago the 360 would start displaying strange hues of green and blue colors. Then about a week ago the video stopped working all together. I went out and bought a new AV Cable and the problem still exists. Does anyone know what is causing this or better yet know how to fix this? My warranty is up , and it has been opened anyways.

Any help would be VERY appreciated.

Now the audio has gone as well...

What could be causing this?

What is the manufacture date on your xbox 360?
Sounds to me like the video chip is on its way out.. Sad
Have you had any error codes?

let us know as much info as possible and we will do our best to help.

Is your 360 well ventilated?

theres so many questions we could ask.

MFG 10-06

Very well ventilated...did the thermal upgrade to gpu and cpu, did 12v fan mod , and intercooler on top of that.

No error codes at all , just happened out of no where. Strange hues one day , no video the next day , no audio a few days later.

Have done some research and believe it may be the ANA chip , does anyone have any experience in replacing or repairing such chip? My solder hand is far from perfect so I don't even wanna touch the thing.

Powers up perfect as if nothing were wrong , just has no video or audio. Have done a little research on the problem in specific and it appears many many others have experienced the same thing and sent to MS for repair. Mine is modified so obviously that is out of the question and not about to pay $140+ for them to fix their faulty system ya kno?

If anyone is experienced and very good at soldering and knows how to replace a ANA chip please let me know I would feel comfortable sending the system to someone who is reputable and can more or less make sure it gets up and running Smile

Again any help is VERY appreciated!

I might try llamma.com.
He has excellent service and charges almost half of what M$ would. That sucks though, sounds like you took alot of steps to beat the heat issues, and some shyt still happens. go figure

Edit: Someone else who might be able to fix it...

Any other suggestions?

Rather than sending it off to llamma it would be cheaper to just buy new mobo all together.

On a second note does anyone know how to repair a sync button , I have a motherboard but somehow someway the previous owner melted the actual button. Looks like you can just desolder it and solder on a new button just want to double check. Also is there any other way to sync a wireless controller without the use of the sync button on the actual console?

Thnx
