I like to rent games but as games get better and now with achievements that take the game beyond just getting from beginning to end in a couple or few days, renting from local video store does not make much sence.
We had a great game rental place called Player One, you could rent games for $1 a day for what ever time ammount you wanted, but they got bought out and the new owners do not rent 360 games because they say they cost to much to replace, theft etc.... What ever
And the local Hollywood video ( a video store ) charges $7 plus tax for a 5 day rental, A waste of money if you get game home and decide you hate it, and if you love it and want to keep it longer than 5 days it can get real expensive.
So now im looking at trying online renting through the mail and was wondering what you guys use, that do so, I saw and add for game fly that said like $8 a month, but when I went to the site it turns out thats just for your first month and actual cost is about $14+ a month, and if you want 2 games at a time its over $21 a month, better than the video store I guess but is there anything cheaper out there? Please share if you know of any better places, I cant realy afford to outright buy every game I want to play and I do get tired of them after a while, my Gears of War + Battlefield 2 and Now rainbow six are begining to collect dust and I am realy looking forward to the new games coming out.

I've not tried game rentals but have tried DVD rental the biggest problem i had with it was the condition of the disks.
I found that most of the discs were dirty and scratched and would not always play fully without a good clean, people don't seem to take as good a care of a disk if they havn't paid for it. _________________________________________________________
I hate gamefly. I had them for 2-3 months just to make sure it wasn't just me...the games took a very long time to get to me...for instance, I got a game, played it for an hour and realized I didn't like it, and had it back at the post office for it to go out that same day...i didn't get my new game for six days since it took a few days to get back to them and then a few days to get back to me...not really much fun if you get a free day and want to play a game but its not there...I live in Ohio and I think they ship out of California so take that into consideration....personally, it would be cheaper for me to go to a rental place and just rent a game. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.6

I have gamefly and the time is my main complaint. Like already said I get a game think this blows send it back and then it take like a week to get another one. But on the other hand the value is good beign game rentals around my way are like 9 bucks for 5 days. So good and bad depends which is more important speed or value. _________________________________________________________

Well I thought gamefly was great. I lived in AZ so they were close and they have fast return so they see that it has been scanned on its way back and they send you a new one before they receive the old back. I AZ it would be 3 days from when I sent one back till I got another, Sometimes 2. I will give them credit all of the games I rented over 2 months were in great condition. Some sites to avoid are itelliflicks and games and flicks. Itelliflicks games are in horrible condition and games and flicks takes to long to get your game. The first 2 games they sent me took 2 weeks to get to me. As for intelliflicks the first 2 games I got from them 1 of the disks were broken in half and the other was so scratched it didnt even play. Well this what think about them hope it helps someone.
