Hey all, with my MODDED xbox 360 on the evil banned list, I am looking for ways to get game updates. I was wondering if I bought a CORE xbox 360 system (to gain XBL access) and switched the HD on my current system to the CORE system would I be able to download the game updates to my HD and then have the updated games file from HD placed onto my banned system? Here is the catch.....NO TALK OF PIRACY, so is there a place within the XBL marketplace or any other XBL area where I can d/l the game update?

Im not positive but i would have thought you could still use your HDD and your xbox live gold account on a standard xbox 360 and access all updates etc..
I don't know whether the hdd key is banned too or what either.
Havent exactly had the time to look into the bans.
As far as my experience, the only way I got to download updates was by loading the game, and getting the update avaliable screen to automatically pop up. Without having the original game to load, how would I go about getting the update, if indeed my idea would work?

Sorry i was under the impression you could get ahold of a original.. I dont know of any other method to update your xbox apart from that ive heard there are some guys who use bit torrent to manually copy updates accross..
I cant remember where i read or heard about it but if i do remember ill be sure to post.. Anyone else got some ideas?

Still looking into that bit torrent thing and i havent seen anyway of doing it, nor the files. Think there might be some confusion mixed up in this.
Not sure about the hdd swapping, I'll have to dig a bit into that.
