ok i currently have an Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3.
im getting sick of just having the PS3 sitting there with no games to play that are any good, and hearing about all the PS3 exclusives going over to the 360. im debating to just get rid of my PS3 and grab up the HD-DVD player for the 360 and then get a Wii. or should i just hold on to the PS3? its a very powerful machine...i dont know.
any opinions?

Well its just personal preference now. Ive heard nothing but bad things about ps3 apart from the ps3 fanboys themselves.. lol There are no games, No decent online management and a crap dashboard..
I warned all my friends 12 months ago that ps3 would lose all its exclusive licenses soon and it has happened a few times already.. Now really what is making you buy a ps3 when even you know yourself xbox live kicks its ass and all the games will be on 360 too (well nearly all).. lmao.
With just the Xbox Live feature alone and friends etc the ps3 does not even compare.. One thing i was laughing about ps3 was their news about their ps3 home where they have basically ripped off xbox 360's idea of achievements (or trophies) lol.. As if i ever want to show people around my virtual home.. I want to game with my friends.. lol
Just to finish.. I used to support SONY all the way in everything including amplifiers, car stereos, tv's etc etc but their products are becoming very poor.. If only SONY spent more time on the PS3 and not BLURAY like they did they may have had a chance in the next gen consoles.. THEY DONT IN MY EYES!
I know ill be getting a HD-DVD either way.. Im really not interested in blu-ray too much as i really dont see the need for that much storage right now...

reason i got it was for games like final fantasy, metal gear, and the ones that are exclusive to the machine, but they seem to be all going for the Xbox 360 now. the 360 controller is better, online service, etc...
i just hate to give up a machine that is so powerful in case a certain game or feature comes out that id want...oh well i guess.
i might flip a coin....ha

One bonus, if that feature or game does end up coming out. You could buy another one at that time, it may even be cheaper. One thing to mention is that blu-ray movies are outselling HD-DVD movies, but the margin isn't too large. _________________________________________________________

got the wii and am very pleased with it. got a wii sports game right out of the box and with that game alone i have had a better experience than the whole time i had the ps3.
the wii is pretty cool....has anyone seen the specs for it? kinda weak, but its fun to play.
only 64 megs of video memory, and a processor that doesnt even run at 1 Ghz...oh well, though its alot of fun to play.

If I had a PS3 I would hold on to it but be focusing my attention to 360 gaming. I personally have no draw towards the Wii, it does not excite me.
PS3 is there and will have some great games. Since no one gave me a PS3 and I would never pay for it, I am quite content with the 360 as it far surpasses my gaming needs.
Edit: I forgot to talk about HD-DVD and BlueRay
I will be getting HD-DVD as I have the 360 already. As a movie format it is not limited because of the space. Full motion pictures in HD have been said to look even better in HD-DVD than Blueray even when compared to a component connection in 1080I vs HDMI in 1080P. That speaks wonders for the 360 HD-DVD player. When the new 360 comes out with HDMI and the 120GB drive, I'll be getting one, At that point the PS3 has nothing on a 360 that makes it the better console and right now the best value for the bang and play is the 360.

i agree 100%...i still have the ps3, i WAS going to trade it in for a hd-dvd player and whatever else, but i might just hang onto it.
maybe trade it for the new 360 when it comes out and then sell my old 360.
i have a wii, i think there friggen sweet, just wait till more games come out, you cant expect too much from launch games when something is so inovative, i already beat zelda and its a godly game, tiger woods is sweet too, but thats just my opinion, cant wait till i get my 360 and halo 3

I have to say I would love to play Zelda. I forgot about that... but I would not buy the Wii just for that. Don't get me wrong. I am in no way downplaying the Wii. I just don't see it for me. Maybe I will get a Wii after I get the Elite 360.

i was exactly the same till i got one.
even the little wii sports corny game is alot of fun.
