Now I love playing Call of Duty 3. But sometimes I want to stick the darn thing into the toaster. I'm playing on Vet difficulty and I'm stuck on the first Canadian mission in the factory. I've re-started the mission more than a few times but I always get stuck around the same spot. Before you ask it's not a glitch. It's those dang Germans. If they were that good of soldiers how come they lost the war. I mean these guys can drop me from around 1,000 yards with a submachine gun. I'll stick my head out to see if I see any Germans. BANG! Famous Quote about wars by Patton or Eisenhower. Start the mission from last save point. BOOM! A line saying don't stand near grenades.
Just wanted to vent some frustration instead of hiding it somewhere in my stomach (where young boys are told to hide their emotions) where it will someday grow into some form of cancer. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

I own both COD games. What can I say I'm a sucker for WWII. But if you enjoy COD2 I would suggest getting COD3. Gameplay and Graphics are, in my opinion, better.
I'm not downing COD2, thats an awesome games to but it's not really using the 360 to it's full effect. But then again COD3 really dosen't either.
I'm in the middle of COD2 on vet and that is pretty frustrating. I'm stuck on top of the silo in the American mission about 10 seconds before a mortar hits it. Guess I'll have to restart it again... Geeze. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

i know how it feels getting ur ass handed to you by the krauts countless times.i faced it full force when i went for the veteran missions on both games (the points were totally worth it . but i can give you some tips for those missions just pm me.
and Huskarl, youd have better luck if you throw smokes in front of their firing areas and pepper them with ur sten in 3, and the mortars wont fire if you kill them before they set up

After several (and I mean several) days of playing COD3 I finally beat it on Vet. Oh and I had to take the game back because it would freeze up right before I would walk up the stairs at the last checkpoint. I swear I was going to throw the X-Box out the window when that happened.
Well I got a new copy and ten seconds later I earned (believe me when I say I earned it) 150 points and a new achievement.
Now back to COD2. I started the Battle of Caen and I have to say the British soldiers in the game are the worst soldiers in the universe. Imperial Stormtroopers and Red Shirts on Star Trek are just ten times better. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

I Have played both, and they are pretty simular in game play, cod 3 has In my opinion slightly better graphics, But I like playing as Vasily, the russian sniper in COD2, vasily was a real sniper in stalingrad and is knowen as the hero of stalingrad, have you seen the movie Enemy At The Gates, it was about him, just a fun fact.
as far as online multiplayer goes, COD2 cant hold a candle to COD3, you get many more players per team and COD3 has large maps with vehicles while COD2 has tiney maps boxed in maps.
if you wanted to pick one for online playability its COD3 all the way in my opinion.

The only problem I have with the character Varsily is was he really a hero or was he pumped up as one to inspire the Soviet Army. As you may well know to Soviets made up lots of stuff like they invented the light bulb and I don't know discovered the moon. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.
