If you have beat the game on Casual and/or Hardcore play it on Insane to really get "into" this game. It is much more interesting and realistic. You will find out that you have to treat every enemy on the screen as a real threat that can kill you if you do not take cover. If there are two enemies shooting at you while you're trying to kill only one of them with the Lancer you will die in about 3 seconds. Insane forces you to master the Active Reload or else enemies will flank you or simply run up to you for a melee while you unjam your gun.
While the bosses of the game (Berserker and Corpser) I've dealt with so far weren't any "smarter" than on Hardcore, the regular enemy AI is quite good. The explosive Wretches are a PITFA! Also, the Theron Guards are insanely quick to plant you one with the Torque Bow if you leave yourself exposed for longer than 2 seconds.
With the gameplay so hectic checkpoints are a relief and cut-scenes are a treat to watch as you kick back and relax for a while.

I agree, insane is not realy that much harder, the only real difference is your health will go down much faster, but you can survive this by just using cover more and kill your enemy by poping up a few times rather than trying to kill him in one go.

I agree Insane is the only way to play the game. The only thing that gets me a little angry is Dom goes down like a French prize fighter. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.
